The First Wednesday of every month we hold an event called "Winning Wednesday". The purpose here is not to get that shiny new piece of gear or make that next million credits, but to enjoy the experience. For instance: running naked through flash-points picking up whatever random gear drops, then popping screen shots of the group. We have also done datcron runs to include the infamous +10. This has been so well received within our community that we would like to extend an invitation to all of you. So come on down and meet new friends, or reconnect with some acquaintances you may have PUGed with in the past. After all, when friends new and old come together everyone WINS. Winning Wednesdays are something we've been doing as a guild for quite some time, and it's a really great opportunity to have fun and get to know your fellow players, and to have a lot of fun! We put a lot of focus on helping new and lower-geared level 50 players get gear through running hard mode flashpoints and story mode operations, and we want to welcome anyone who is a new 50, whether it is your main toon or an alt, to join us! Mort gave an excellent of what we do on these events, and there are tons of opportunities to help you out if you need it (we definitely take requests!) Want to get in on a run through a story mode operation? We've done those too. There are few hard-to-get Datacrons that you still want to get? Yep, done that too. Silly little events designed to be nothing but fun? Done those a few times, they are a favorite of many. Standard prodcure is to form up, see who wants to do what, then form separate smaller groups to go forth and win at whatever that group wants. Ranaya Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 This week, for our inaugural server-wide Winning Wednesday event, we will be hosting an old Pax favorite: Naked Scavenger Hunting! The rules are simple: We split into four-man teams. Players will remove all of their gear (implants and relics included) and will only equip starter planet weapons. Starting with Black Talon, we make our way through story-mode flashpoints, picking up the gear we find along the way. Everyone need rolls on what they don't have and what they're able to wear, regardless of class. A Juggernaut wins the roll on a Bounty Hunter chestpiece? Gotta wear it. Sorcerer finds an endurance lightsaber? Time to learn to tank, pal. Basically, if you win the need roll, you have to wear it! (Just to clarify here. Roll only on any items that you DO NOT have equipped. Say a chestpiece drops, and you already have one equipped, hit pass on it. Only roll on an item you have equipped once EVERYONE in the group has that item equipped. Don't want one person running around shirtless the whole time! We also want to try to keep it fair, so try to roll only for what armor you can wear...for instance, a Juggernaut can wear light armor, but a Sorcerer can't wear Heavy, so we want to try to keep it balanced. However, if the sorcerer already has a light armor piece, then it's free-game!) I will have a bunch of low level starter weapons, so hopefully that will be enough to cover everyone, but feel free to bring your own if you have it. PVPers are more than welcome to use their unarmed fighting legacy skills to fight as well, I just want to make sure that those who don't PVP are able to fight as well! Note: This event is not reserved for people with level 50 toons! Anyone level 25+ can join in the fun (since that's a good base level for not being killed while running flashpoints in the buff ). I know there are a few people in the guild who have sub-50 main toons, and I want those people to be included! So come one, come all, to the first monthly server-wide Winning Wednesday event! To ressurect a little bit of RP that was thrown in the first time we did one of these in-guild, Imagine if you will: You awaken on a ship. You find yourself with nothing save your undergarments and a piddly little weapon. You know who you are, you know what you are capable of, but for some reason you can't remember the last several hours or how you came to be in your current predicament. The only recent thing you can remember is that someone on this ship needed to talk to you, urgently. You are also not alone; there are three other people who seem to be in the same state as you, similarly awakening to different surroundings and a much different wardrobe. Who did this to you? Why did they leave you alive? Who are these other three people with you? Who needed to talk to you, and why? Where are your clothes!? These are the questions you find yourself thinking. If you don't have the piece, and someone else wouldn't need it more, then you have to roll need on it, and wear it if you win. No hiding head slots either. Part of the fun is seeing the funny outfits at the end.
