Technohic Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I am a rage jugg with 670 bonus melee dmg. And when i face a equally geared marauder with his defensive cd's up im loose if his not a clicker or something, the same with snipers i will get owned. Snipers are brutal if you are in the open with nothing to use for LOS. if you have something to use to block their LOS though; you should be able to figure out how to destroy them. Don't stand there and try to tank it. lol
AKfourtyseven Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 This is entirely the devs fault. First they nerfed tank tree and in 1.4 they nerfed vig/veng at the same time as buffing focus/rage. There are only 2 good specs now for PvP. tank/vig(veng) hybrid and focus(rage). What did you expect people to do?

Rage is very easy to play now as other's have said, but I wish there was a more viable alternative. I love the play style of vengeance and I wish it was more viable for pvp, but rage is just that much better. So now I'll play rage when I'm dps or a veng/immortal when I am going to tank.
Richoshist Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) I've played both Vig and Focus. Anyone that says "Vig is complex and Rage is retardedly simple" needs to set down the pipe. Both specs are retardely simple. And people that are complaining about 5K hits? C'mon. The last tic of master strike and dispatch can both crit for 5K anymore. I think my biggest Force Sweep has been like 7,300 on a nub sorc. Usually it's 6K on sorcs, down to 3K on heavy armor wearers. Edited October 1, 2012 by Richoshist
WaywardOne Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I'm playing around with the spec on a sentinel - I can't help feeling like I'm tougher/better as watchman but I'm gonna give it a week to sink in. Maxing out your number of sweeps and keeping your focus up (in pvp) and positioning for multiple targets is not as simple as some are posting. I have an old focus guardian (1/2 wh geared) that I still have no itch to play again.
Kontraz Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Who cares if they are FotM. I don't get why so many people are concerned with other players all rolling the exact same build. Sure they might in theory be OP (I'm not at all saying knights and warriors are, this can be applied to any and every FotM build) but for every 1 good player out there that truly knows the class and how to execute it properly, there are dozens that heard that the class was awesome or had their rear ends demolished enough times that they decide to roll the same class - and they are terrible at it. Maras were FotM before and there were a handful on my server that I knew by name, because I knew if I ran into them, it would be an intense fight. I didn't care at all about the dozens of others, simply because they were either painfully predicable or had no idea what they were doing.
jstergar Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) My main is a combat spec sent I havn't even tried the focus spec yet. Why do I get whispers from imps on their pub alts telling me I'm a "smash f4ggeT" and all sorts of things right after WZ's? Let's stop asking BW to nerf FOTM classes. Instead pray to god to buff ret4rds. Edited October 1, 2012 by jstergar
xContex Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I really do not understand where this attention is coming from. Rage/Focus got a buff but it was mostly in resource management. The previous resource management sucked and honestly needed some sort of buff. We smash just as frequently as before, our damage output is STILL the same. The additional armor pen only occurs in Shii-Cho forum and guardians/juggs who are Shii-Cho are like glass cannons. They will burn quickly if you actually focus on them (no pun intended). The reason why you see such a high turn out (as mentioned before) is because the vigilance tree got nerfed and it only made sense as a PVP DPS Guardian/Jugg to switch to focus. There are no other options atm.
