Pub pvp...sad, just sad...

Im not the best pvper but I do enjoy it on occasion and usualy get bored with the grind of endgame. To combat the endgame bordem when I came to ToR I rolled on a pvp server. Well it seems that my first couple of encounters here on Tatooiene have been pretty , shall we say weak. I dont expect wo win a lot ---Aersanal Merc--- but, I expect to get a shot off. So out and about burining some quests Iv'e been ganked by 50s'...ok I guess... hope it was worth the effort to go to Tat for that but whatever. The one that really got me was the similar leveld Jedi that kept going invis and waiting for me to be in combat doing PvE to then pop out of steath and hit me while Im working on npcs'. Dude, Ill fight ya and you'll problay beat me, but seriously if you are so much of a chicken sh*t that you can go at it in a straight fight why are you even bothering....Are all the Pubs really so sorry that the only way they can PvP is to be 20 levels higher or gotta go out like a punk they cant do a stand up fight?

50s picking on lowbies is lame - i just wave at them or sit down next to them to watch them pve ... if they attack me, ill play w/ them to entertain myself, but its pointless killing them. If they lip off, then they earn a quick dirtnap. Stealth characters are probably not going to engage in a fair fight as that's what they're supposed to do haha.

I was leveling up my bounty hunter (lvl 31 pyro) on alderaan the other day and got attacked by a guardian (lvl 31) ... im not super geared but am experienced at pvp and burned him down w/o much effort ... a few mins later i came across a lvl 38 assassin whom i attacked for the hell of it and dispatched him pretty easily as i know the playstyle and kept him at range when i could. Open world pvp makes for fun random action if everyone is within similar levels ... i try to come and help w/ my 50s if lowbies are getting picked on :)

Some Shadow named Tdot was doing this to my alt on tat, just sit in stealth in one of the quest towns and gibbed me every chance he could, even chased me across the map one time on the speeder

Best part is remembering his name and tunneling him everytime he popped out of stealth in wz on my mains and seeing his death stats doubling/tripling anyone.

Now that I think of it...I understand why they resort to lowbie killings :p

I personally use griefing as a way to incite level 50 world PvP. A river of lowbie blood is the only thing that will draw those elusive 50s off the fleet these days! However, if I'm not intent on starting something I'll tend to leave lowbies alone, unless they insult me or take a potshot at me.

So, don't take it personal right off the bat - it may not be about you. Following a lowbie across the map to kill them, however, seems a bit malicious...

That's pretty funny to read. I had the same experience as a pub. When I'd level my alts on tat or alderaan all I saw was level 50 imps ganking everyone. The other posters were right, it caused me to talk to guldies on fleet to ask for help and then open world pvp battles would occur. I'm not bothered by it, I've done the same. I ended up making friends with a few imps on the /say channel ironically lol. I do agree that chasing you across the map is a bit dumb. Anywho, it's just how it is. Happens on both sides

I know it's a pain but it's not really that bad. I've seen servers destroyed by grieving. There's a bit here and there but what you described is pretty normal if you pvp on pvp servers. What i do is play 4 or 5 toons. If your getting grieved, just log out and play a different one. problem solved....
