SirKitchen
Bioware, First and foremost, thank you very much. My guild <Chosen> (originally from Terentatek, then Prophecy of the Five Cluster, Then NEW Prophecy of the Five Cluster.) wanted to take the time to commend you on the Terror From Beyond encounter in Astation. We're having a great time during this fight. We discussed this fight for a few minutes after we called it and came to the conclusion that we wanted to say thank you for how well tuned this fight is. We ran into some mechanics in the fight that were causing us problems and at first we thought that they might be bugs, and we came back again and got around the proposed possible “bugs”. We love how tuned this fight is for our group of fully min-maxed campaign geared raiders. Especially since some of the fights are not exactly tuned very well for 16man, or we're just completely out gearing the fight. (I'm looking at you Operator-IX) We just wanted to go on record and thank you for the time you put into this instance, and the extensive internal testing you must have done to tune this fight to its current make or break state. It is a great challenge that we're looking forward to conquering. Thanks Again, Lesions Co-GM <Chosen> Prophecy of the Five Edited September 28, 2012 by SirKitchen
tahoeWolverine
As a tank, I can attest to how great the Boss 5 progression has been. Can't wait to watch him die! We have had some lag issues, especially during phase transition, but there's nothing preventing a kill here. Thanks again!
RorecMalciore
I agree! Totally amazing job, Bioware! Worth the wait!
bbbaKerrr
A very good comment, OP, thank you for posting. I am also very happy with boss 5 HM Progression! Not only are the mechanics a lot of fun to figure out AND it is perfectly balanced with the top level gear, but it ALSO looks amazing! I couldn't imagine a more epic boss arena. Thank you, BioWare! Aerro
Just killed it tonight. Definitely one of the best fights released so far in SWTOR.
Shoogli
The whole instance is pure awesome. Not too much trash, not too few. I like all the boss fights : they're fun. (not done them all in HM yet though, just a few). The setting is amazing : the landscape, well the whole layout in fact. We haven't encountered what seem to be bugs, in all of the SM mode, and in the few bosses we killed in HM. The whole thing is really really excellent ! Ruskaeth
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah that was fun. Yarr! Gratz to everyone who've cleared it to the end. Never played it through on story mode in fear of it ruining the first good impression people have said about the hard mode. How the difficulty builds up in these encounters seems more fun than in previous operations. In fact, it's just high quality. Nice atmosphere and so on. As a healer (for the first run, dpsing the next with an alt), that was hectic as hell when we were training the fights. Humane mistakes accumulate and some can even be fixed (minor ones), but all in all, as a healer, it's a blast. Love the mechanics. Can't wait to see the fourth and fifth boss. Pst. from healer perspective, it felt like DPS have more things to do than faceroll and worry about utterly perfect rotation? Any comments from dpses? Aerro
This is Aerroh from <Chosen>: The first phase I was stuck on 'slime' duty, so I couldn't just sit there and focus on my rotation. There seems to be a bug (it has to be) where TfB shoots out two slimes instantaneously underneath one person (me) and it double ticks per each slime. My health pool will go from 21k to 1.5k when I'm strafing as soon as it goes down. Other than that, Phase 1 is pretty faceroll for DPS. As for Phase 2? That is a different story. Trois and I were on Anomaly duty. So other than jumping back and forth DPSing Tentacles, we had to run around killing Anomalies. Inbetween Tentacle phases, all DPS has to make sure to get to their assigned platforms and kill their orbs or else they unleash havoc on the rest of the raid. Unlike most fights, DPS have multiple duties that need to be executed while maintaining their rotations as perfectly as possible. It was a finely tuned boss that definitely pushed every player to focus and not just go through the motions.
CitizenFry
I felt the final boss of Terror from Beyond was horrifically boring to tank on 8-man story mode. Hopefully there's something more to that encounter for hard mode. I will note that I did enjoy tanking the first two bosses on 8-man hard mode when my guild did them for the first time last night, so hopefully the rest of the raid continues that trend.
