I've been PVP'ing quite a bit tonight after reading that sticky grenade + assault plastique are on different cool-downs... and all the rumors are true. This is an UNBELIEVABLE combo that makes commando awesome (even more awesome than PT). I can now, at 30m range, reach out and touch you with this: - light you on fire with incendiary round, - sticky grenade (~1900 dmg), - assault plastique (~2200 dmg), - high impact bolt (~2200 base dmg, ignores 30% of armor, if crit it's double) - full auto (~2500 damage, ignores 30% of armor) - high impact bolt if it procs (~another 2200 base dmg, if crit its double) Assuming 1/3rd of the above crit... we're talking about roughly 14k pts of damage all concentrated within a 4 second window. If all of the above crit... we're talking a 20k burst. If I rush in with a stockstrike, you're *really* toast. At 30m range, no less! And in terms of ammo, it does consume roughly 1/3rd of my full load... but if I pause 10 seconds, I'm loaded up and ready to go again. Commandos have always done a ton of damage, but now we have burst to match. Combined with my ranged interrupt, I've been burning through merc combat medics and op healers (BY MYSELF!!). I'm *pretty sure* it used to say exactly that... ... so I assume this was an intentional change! (What's the point of patch notes if you don't say what's being changed, by the way?) Ryorunmaru Posted September 28, 2012 Share Posted September 28, 2012 damage mitigation + defensive abilities + expertise will affect this. sure it's gonna hurt more now, but it won't wipe the floor every single time. Also, you still have the limited mobility compared to other classes, full auto's a channel, and they may have a heal.
