Scrapper - I'm satisfied

There are a few changes in 1.4 that have made all the difference to me (and weren't in the patch notes). They may seem small, but are helpful without upsetting balance.

 

(1) They changed the "come out of stealth" sound effect. Not it no longer loudly announces our presence.

 

(2) The knockdown on "Shoot First" builds slightly less resolve, so you don't have to wait quite as long before dirty kicking to prevent a full resolve bar.

 

(3) The sprint, while not amazing or gamebreaking, is a huge help when someone is attempting to kite you. A lot of times this saves us the GCD of using Tendon Blast.

 

I can still tear things up, I'm not considered "OP", and I feel we're in a good spot right now.

Unfortunately, a lot of the other classes are still OP. Marauders, Powertechs, Rage Guardians. If they were brought down, then maybe it would be fine. Otherwise, I think Scrapper still needs a boost to damage and/or survivability.

The change has made the class a little more effective, but, yes, we need a buff. Nothing big, but I've suggest that the Sawed-Off talent be used to reduce the CD of Back Blast, as 4% is hardly worth the talent.

 

Not sure whey shoot first didn't get a snare like the shadows got...that could have really helped us if they had a few seconds of being slowed after they got up.

as a PVE scrapper, i'm really happy with the decrease in duration for shoot first, but i wish scrapper had something like Fighting Spirit to reduce the CD of cool head, so i could time them together.

 

the speed boost is really fun, and great for closing back in after being knocked back (droid in EV) or having to move out of AOEs (zorn and toth), etc.

 

 

 

i'm also happy that they fixed a lot of "Effect Condition Failed" errors with certain bosses that prevented me from using backblast / shoot first
