WZ groups missing players

I'm not sure if this was part of the patch or not, but after the patch I've been in several WZ groups where the WZ has started and we are still missing a final player to fill. It's frustrating going into a WZ missing a player. I'm not sure if this is equal for both sides - such as it it 7-7, or if it affects only 1 side.

 

Can anyone enlighten me?

Happened last night in a Novare, started with 7, and the 8th didn't come in till the score was about 12%-0, about 10 minutes into the match. Stellar work I must say.

Happening to me too, i've had 3 warzones since the patch hit that only had 6 of us in. They only started to backfill when someone quit and the low pop timer started

We got stuck with a 7 man team twice in a row for 50s yesterday. Still won both games, though. :D

 

I switched over to lowbies afterwards and had a full team every game.

 

Hopefully the problem will be a rare one until they're able to patch it.

Played in at least 4 warzones last night that had at least 1 empty spot for the whole game. Two games where 6v8 which actually was not to bad (both CW) we held two nodes for a good chunk of time but both times we lost which was to be expected.

 

GG on making warzones backfill faster...that is working just *********** great.

I have seen this in many warzones since 1.4 patch. Starts with less than full team and then takes most of the match to 'fill' the spaces.

Obviously something broke, since the General Forums are littered with tons of broken issues. Also, the backfilling was supposed to be upgraded to fill faster, per the 1.4 patch notes:

 

• Unranked Warzones now backfill empty player slots more frequently.

It would seem that they did the exact opposite the notes should read.

 

 

• Corrected an issue that allowed a team to start with a full ops group. Players will now experience a random number of teammates to help with balance issues.

I just submitted an in-game ticket about the issue as well. Suggest you guys do the same as soon as you see it occurring, let them know how frequent (and irritating) this bug is.

 

I feel like this issue used to be fairly common (pre-1.3?), but we haven't had this in a long, long time. Very irritating.

 

Maybe if a player declines the wz queue when it pops, his spot is NEVER filled? I might test that with guild mates just to see if that's the cause.

If we somehow start with 8 then the other team starts with 7 and starts leaving. A warzone ended after 30 second for me a little while ago.

 

OR.....we start out with 7 and instantly when the other team gets the upper hand we are 6, then 5 and....then it ends

 

This needs to be fixed. It was nice that they patched the day pandaland went live but it feels rushed into this game

I ran one yesterday that started short handed. It was a civil war pub v imp. I counted the 2 going grass and 6 going mid to fight us. After they took 2 nodes and held them b/c we were shorthanded I saw somebody on my team drop. That spot got autofilled instantly so still 7v8. Next another got mad and dropped and it filled too. Upon seeing how fast those spots filled and the 8th never did I too raged with the rest of the group. Never figured out what caused the issue in the first place but I didn't see it again last night.

Same here. Was in Huttball match, started with 7 and spot was not filled entire match, plenty of people were online so should have been fast fill.

 

I was on vent with a guy that waited the entire game but was in the que the entire match.

 

This indicates the patch 1.4 does not do what was intended and is broken.

Same....three games back to back with 6-7 players only on our team last night. This was after checking out the new OPs and this really got annoying to me as I wanted to PvP some till I logged off for the night. The only time it "backfills" is if one of those people quit, then someone new would join, only to prolong the game and not have it shut down but basically making it to where the team can never synchronize to make any come back. What I mean is, the team never actually reached 8 players but if someone left due to the imbalanced 6-7 v 8, that spot would fill up pretty quick. For some reason, the game would just not bring anyone else in to fill the original empty spot(s) since the beginning of the match.

 

I'd like the change to be implemented for when a WZ sequence begins to shut down, it should just shut down and not allow any players to join. Maybe it's just me when this happens but at this point in a match I just want the game to be over with as it usually means a blow out so I just assume take my loss and que for the next game rather than dragging the current one out with people dropping in and out for the next 5 minutes.

 

The people who join during this countdown definitely don't, and normally won't, want to be a part of this time wasting event. If they do join, they see what has happened and leave and I don't blame them. Therefore the shutdown sequence is aborted, thus prolonging the inevitable, and our team is still left without players as it never fills up.

 

Please address this issue. Also, fix the perm-death in spawn after dying in the match. That bug is still there....

Just wanted to chime in that I hate this new bug, and it definitely locks teams at 7 people, and will ONLY add new people if one of the original 7 drop, and never will it actually fill. Just lost another 7v8 Novare Coast this way. Lot of fun.

Again, keep submitting in-game tickets. Let them know EVERY time this happens. Squeaky wheel guys, we want to be the squeaky wheel. This should be like a one-line fix in their code. Make them know this is game breaking.

Been having this issue as well, although the biggest problem was in a Rep vs. Rep in Novare. We were stuck with 6 players on our team for 80% of the match...really sucked.

I have observed this mostly in Alderaan matches. Last 3 I played had 7 players on my team. I filed a ticket but don't expect they know what's causing this. It surely isn't lack of players, given how many people are playing 1.4.

Ok, I went through about 10 WZ's last night, and about 1/2 of them ended up being 1 man short. Some, with about a min. left in the game the 8th player would finally load in. This is getting rediculous.

 

Do you guys at EA actually test the stuff out before you put it out on the servers? Fix this, or at least have one of your forum mods, come in and let us know you are aware of the problem, ans are attempting to fix it.

 

Do you guys even come onto the PvP boards at all?

 

If it wasn't for the "Star Wars" theme - this MMO would be farthur down the extinction chain than it already is heading.

If only we had developers that had forum access that could post in here and let us know whats going on with what some might call a gamebreaking bug that is not fun and flat out sucks.
