Typeslice
The ratio on power to bonus dmg looks to have been decreased. Main stat looks to now give 5 bonus dmg per point, power is now 4.35. No diminishing returns, looks to be straight 4.35 no matter how much power you have
Taleek
Isn't this kind of thing to be expected whenever they put in new gear?
Typeslice
Well, if this is true, it finally puts to the rest the "main stat vs. power" debate.

gpwarner
The ratio on power to bonus dmg looks to have been decreased. Main stat looks to now give 5 bonus dmg per point, power is now 4.35. No diminishing returns, looks to be straight 4.35 no matter how much power you have It's still the same - you're doing the math wrong. To see how much damage a point of power or main stat adds, you divide the bonus damage by the power or main stat. What you did was divide the main stat or power by the bonus damage, which tells you how much of that stat will give you 1 point of bonus damage. For example, I have 2178 aim , which contributes 435.6 damage 876 power., which contributes 201.5 damage The way you did it, 2178 aim / 435.6 bonus dmg = 5 (5 points of aim = 1 point of bonus damage) 876 power / 201.5 bonus dmg = 4.34 (4.34 points of power = 1 point of bonus damage) The way you need to do it to see how much each stat contributes to damage: 435.6 bonus dmg / 2178 aim = .2 (1 point of aim = .2 point of bonus damage) 201.5 bonus dmg / 876 power = .23 (1 point of power = .23 point of bonus damage) Easy mistake. Have fun. -pain
FatEdd
I have noticed a distinct downward DPS on my Merc in WZs since the patch, almost by say 100k DPS which is pretty bloody noticable. So it is not just me that has noticed us Mercs are now firing water pistol damage. Another nerf for the Merc, along with electro-dart now ranged at 10m instead of its original 30m and if I remember rightly also our only stun now reduced to 10m which is kind of spoiling our class as it is to me THE class to be in the game and should be THE damage dealer and never messed with, especially with the range drawbacks now which means being a Merc truly is a specialized class only for those who know what they are doing and how to be that class even with all the new drawbacks, unlike say the Smuggler with all its stuns and runaway cloak options as one example, being a Merc and mastering it we should be proud of that, because it seems being many of the other classes is the easy option to go. I will add though, when the Smuggler has run out of options, they aint arf squishy little people . So they need something, so if they need all those stuns and runaways, then so be it, once you get them at range they are as good as dead, you know that fellow Mercs. Oh hang on, we can no longer stun at range, silly me. Good job im the dogs Merc in it .
