MagnitudeZero Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Trauma Probe is at a place now where it rarely sees use after the initial pull in PvE, last time I played I used to just keep Traume Probe on tank 100% of the time, it was great support heal. Now, it costs two ammo. Really? Really really? Wow, that's an attractive talent. I can heal 4 people for 3k give them all a 3% healing increase, and if used with SCC can put a damage reduction shield on them all with the exact same ammo cost. So I actually got pretty excited when I saw the patch notes today, saw something about trauma probe and I was like "Yeah, no way would they leave it like this". I should have known it wouldn't be all sunshine though, turns out it's been altered to work only for PvP and on yourself. Yeah I can see why I'd want to waste two ammo when getting faceraped by two marauders in Civil War, and then start blasting GCDs on Hammer shot. How about this? "Frontline Medic: When you deal damage or healing with your hammer shot, your trauma probe has a 50/100% of proccing a Trauma Probe charge, without consuming it. Effect can happen only once every 3 seconds." So you can put it on the tank, and blast around doing a bit of extra dps or topping people off with Hammer Shot, and still get the effect to work. I rly hate how MMO's always eventually devolve to cater to the PvP crowd and the PvEers get left at the wayside when it comes to character development. My PvE partner went all the way up that tree to get this "ultimate heal", only to discover that it's a complete waste of time because it's self only. We've waste a couple weeks of time and all those skill points! I know Bioware had to fire a lot of people and the game is struggling. Guess what? THIS is one of the reasons WHY it is struggling. You're not paying attention to details (like updating skill descriptions), which upsets people and convinces them to try some new game that might be better. And we were subscribers too... geesh. Trauma Probe is not self only the effect from Frontline Medic is and it's required to get the rate limit reduction that works perfectly fine on the Tank and you don't go Up the Tree for the ultimate Trauma Probe you go Up there for the instant cost free heal, the descriptions are perfectly fine stop whining Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
