justinparneteau
I dont know where to put this so im putting it here. Is there a way they can put force sweep back the way it was pre 1.4 im a tanking gaurdian and i personally rely on it not only from holding aggro on alot of mobs but for my dailies aswell. i know they nerfed it because of the dps version of the gaurdian/juggs doing hard hitting amount with it but it seems like they just didnt take it into consideration that the tanks use it aswell
MillionsKNives
I don't see any mention of a nerf to Force Sweep in the patch notes. Just an adjustment on how quickly it goes off.

Hyryu
They increased the agro from Force Sweep a few updates ago, I don't think that they reverted it in this patch. I could be wrong but didn't see that anywhere.
LordRichardEW
What they did is make it only effect targets in front up you instead of 360 degrees that it normally was. I believe that what op is talking about.

I believe that what op is talking about. Where did you read that? My Force Sweep seems to be working just fine -- like it always has. I didn't read anything about that patch notes (unless I'm totally blind!).
BenjaminminU
I intently read the patch notes for jedi Knight because my combined level for the class is 91 (sentinel+guardian). I never saw any changes to force sweep apart from making it more responsive.
errant_knight
Since I'm dps, this would actually be better for me, although I can see it being a problem for a tank. I didn't realize that agro effects were being limited as well. Are we sure about this? Since the changes seemed pvp related, I'd assumed that they were only talking about area damage. LordRichardEW
http://www.swtor.com/blog/developer-update-class-changes-and-balance-game-update-1.4 "Overload and Force Wave have been redesigned. These abilities now knock back all targets within a 15-meter 120-degree cone in front of you. Furthermore, these abilities now knock back all potential targets instantly; they no longer wait for an animation note at the end of the ability animation." Noticed it says Force Wave has thought it said force sweep so I'm probably wrong. Edited September 26, 2012 by LordRichardEW

Lazirus-
Force Sweep didn't get nerfed AT ALL in 1.4, in fact it was buffed. "Jedi Knight General Force Sweep's timing has been adjusted; the ability now executes faster." Still does the same damage that it did in 1.3 in a 360 degree radius. justinparneteau
I dont know there is just something about it thats makeing me think that it has been adjusted some how, for example was i ran a fps yesterday i used it on regular mobs and it seemed to only hit 2 of them they where all in range so i switch to cyclone slash then i was hitting all of them and for a decent amunt but i dont build aggro as good with Cyclone slash ad it eats up my focus. maybe there is nothing different and the animation is just messing with me. but i could have sworn it was different thanks for the replies guys/girls
hillerbees
I have to be honest I thought Force Sweep wasn't working at all after 1.4, it doesn't seem to do anything for me. I have been playing my Consular of late so maybe I was also getting the two moves mixed up. I might go off to a low level planet and hit on some mobs to see if it shows an effect because I was seeing no visible damage when using it last night on the Black Hole
Sunsearcher
I've got the exact problems as mentioned above. Somehow the Force Sweep doesn't hit any mob in my range and when it does, only a few take damage. I think the new and faster activation ist good and definitly an improvement concerning dps, however I think they broke the range and the targets which take damage in 5m range. Immortalelf
I know it wasn't supposed to have been changed, but it felt off on my Sentinel too.
RALLYxISH
Same issue for me with Force Sweep lvl 29 Vigilance Guardian (I REFUSE TO SPEC FOCUS) Felt as if though I was only hitting one target even though I was surrounded at times
ShinSoole
It feels like they adjusted the range on Force Sweep. I used to use it after a leap into a pack of mobs to immediately gain aggro on them.. now it never lands on anything that isn't standing on top of me. I also noticed Cyclone Slash has been changed as well. Its another ability that I would use to build up aggro within a pack of mobs but now it only hits targets in front of me rather than 360 degrees around me as it used to. Am I crazy or have both of these abilities hitched a ride on the nerf wagon?? Edited September 30, 2012 by ShinSoole
DocZoloft
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that Force Sweep wasn't working at all. Hope they fix it soon.
Aieran
I've had the same problem on my 50 Guardian, I'll have 4 mobs standing right next to me and i'll only hit 1 or 2 of them. Heck, I even went back to Tython and had 3 level 6 mobs standing less than 2m from me and I only hit 1 of them, and they were right in front of me. Yeah, they broke something with Force Sweep in the last patch.
Soljin
Ive been ranting about this for three days...My Smash will randomly not apply dmg..I get the numbers above the target, but no health is deducted from the target...Happens extremely often. It pretty much hosed Pvp for me entirely. Its a serious glitch...and they havnt mentioned or acknowledged it thus far...File a ticket ingame.
