Narthil
Hey guys, so I'm trying to come up with the highest burst rotation possible for Sages. By Burst, it means doing the most damage possible in the least amount of time. Here's what I've come up with and requires a hybrid build: Weaken Mind (Psychic Projection Proc) Force in Balance (Force Supression) Fast Telekinetic Throw (Presence of Mind) Instant Mind Crush Project Pehaps follow with another TK throw and Instant Disturbance to allow for Mind Crush CD. Am I right, or is there anything that does more damage in such a short time span? Edited September 25, 2012 by Narthil

You could use another telekinetic throw, hopefully proc a free insta cast disturbance, which would hopefully free insta cast a telekinetic wave- which is instant damage instead of a dot, and an AOE. If both of those proc'ed together it would be a good amount of dps. But it relies on chance. Edited September 26, 2012 by Alzor
Kuvox
I've done parser checks and by far the highest burst I have achieved was in the TK Tree using the following rotation: Rakata Attack Adrenal Weaken Mind Mental Alacrity Mind Crush Turbulence Force Potency 3x Disturbance TK Throw (on Psychic Projection) TK Wave (on Tidal Force) All of this can be done in Mental Alacrity's 10 seconds and provides for some serious burst damage. Kuvox
My bad. No, my rotation listed above is not really for PVP. Technically it would, in theory, provide serious burst even in PVP but only an idiot would stand there and take it without either interrupting or running away. In any case, your PVP rotation is fine. The only way to get decent burst in PVP for Sages and Sorcs is to: 1) Stack surge and pop force potency before Force-in-Balance (this has given me the 5k medal countless times), and, 2) Use the hybrid build and put 1 point into Mental Alacrity and use that when you need to burn someone down fast. As a side note, before ops last night I PVP'd three games in the TK tree (which I do not recommend AT ALL). In two of those I was worthless as everything I did was interrupted but in one Huttball I was able to stand on a rafter in Huttball and use the rotation listed above a few times without any interruptions. I did not know Sages and Sorcs were capable of such burst. I was able to burn down a full war hero tank-spec'd Jugg all by myself in a short period of time when he grabbed the ball. Well, now Mental Alacrity prevents interruption and the bubble knocks back without recover, so, TK sage on Mental Alacrity seems to have equal burst damage to other DPS classes but only for 10 seconds every 2 minutes (3 stacks of tremors of course). xxCarnage
My favorite opener is, (full balance spec)<- the only viable pvp spec Force potency Force imbalance Cast mind crush Project Telekinetic through free* Disturbance I also have stalker set bonus so it make for a bit more damage with that project. NICKjnp
For a TK build I use: Disturbance (or force quake when defending a node/bomb site) until force wave proc appears Force potency Force wave Weaken mind Turbulence Tk throw (if proc appears) Rinse and repeat. I haven't tried with the buff to mental alacrity yet. I also have a balance sage and I use a rotation similar to those mentioned above.
