Elfa
Looking through the suggestion box, I've found the lack of participation or response to the posts there startling. This is where you tell us to leave our ideas and yet we have almost no proof anyone from Bioware even reads them. I'm not looking for anything cement or exaustive, just perhaps a simple "I like this idea, I'll pass it along" or "This isn't veru feasible with our in-game strategy". This is the place where the creative among us strives to let you no what we would like to see in the game. Please start responding more in this area so we know that you care about our ideas. HenshinCyborg
What's with this need to know your comments are being looked at? It's not like the posters on this forum represent any kind of majority..... If the devs followed or acknowledged every comment made by the tiny demographic that posts, we would be in a LOT of trouble. Izorii
I think people would be happier if they thought people actually looked at the suggestions and it wasn't just a waste of time posting. Currently the suggestion forum looks to be where good ideas go to die.
Elfa
What's with this need to know your comments are being looked at? Are you serious? What's with the need to know that my suggestion made to Bioware was actually seen by Bioware? You're funny. I think people would be happier if they thought people actually looked at the suggestions and it wasn't just a waste of time posting. Currently the suggestion forum looks to be where good ideas go to die. Exactly that. Not every post made needs to be replied to. But I've seen so many posts that had such amazing ideas and nothing from Bioware to show that they even bothered to read it. All we have is their word and at this point, you can decide for yourself what that's worth. Edited September 24, 2012 by Elfa

Stenrik
And this is evidenced by the fact that there are many suggestion threads in the "General" forum. (Or at least thinly-disguised suggestion threads.) Maybe BW is afraid to post there, because they think they'll get a lot less traffic. It's kind of a self-perpetuating problem since the less activity there is, the less traffic there is; and the less traffic, the less people will see any point in posting. Wouldn't mind seeing the forums just get merged. Edited September 24, 2012 by Stenrik
TUXs
What's with this need to know your comments are being looked at? As a paying customer, it's nice to know our desires/wishes/comments/suggestions are being heard. It's a very reasonable request. We're the customer...you realize that right? Bioware sells a service, a service we choose to purchase or not. So far, 4 of 5 people have decided NOT to continue paying for that service. When 4 of 5 customers leave, they should reevaluate everything.

I'm pretty sure they read every post in the suggestion box my friend. It's why they created it to begin with, to separate suggestions out of the regualr chaff in general forum. I really don't understand why the lack of response posts by community support = didn't read

MOPSFounder
What's your point? Have you seen the amount of posts in the suggestions box that have an actual reply from Bioware? I remember seeing 2. Usually that's where all ideas and suggestions go to die. I doubt EAWare even focused on the many threads posted there. They probably only focus on those huge ones like the Thousand Papercuts and that's it. It's sad to see but I think this subforum is largely ignored. Journeyer
I agree with the OP. There are lots of *very* entitled, whiny, and downright stupid complaint posts growing to dozens of pages of flame/counter flame and Bioware ends up stepping in and mentioning things about their future plans to try to get people to stop making up random nonsense (which never works anyways). Meanwhile, well thought-out suggestions get a couple discussion-like replies and sink beneath the forums's surface again without any kind of input from the people ostensibly asking us for ideas. There's been a lot of criticism (acknowledged by Bioware) regarding communication with their customers. What better way to get communication going than to engage with thought-out suggestions? To describe their intentions and thought process, and why features could or could not work? But instead, they're out trying to put out fires in thinly disguised complaint and rage-quit threads? Like...this one? ;D Point is, if Bioware wanted to start lengthy, meaningful discussions about how future features in the game might work, there's a place to find that--we just need them to start dipping in over there. Urael
Point is, if Bioware wanted to start lengthy, meaningful discussions about how future features in the game might work, there's a place to find that--we just need them to start dipping in over there. I don't know if you read the same General Forums that I read but, it is evident that many can not hold rational discussions without becoming ruled by their passions. You know how hard it is to discuss ANYTHING with someone who has already made up their mind? If not READ the SWTOR General Forums. Do you really expect EAware to engage in discussion with people that are not themselves capable of having such discussions rationally? Also, say they do start engaging. Unless they are made out of the same stuff as Bashiok (thick skinned and will troll the forums back, put the smack down when needs be said), they will just get drowned out by all the QQ. Top that off with "ZOMG they didn't respond to my post but it as so gud, why no respond to mah post, you suck" posts. While I have said repeatedly that EAware has a communication problem I would not want them to wast their time answering EVERY suggestion nore dealing with all the potential kerfuffles that would arise. In this light I have to agree that EAware is handling this appropriately.

Or being insulted...over and over and over by those who feel they are somehow the authority of any given subject? That is the part that cracks me up more than those who are being irrational.
