Vader lore and new comics

Seems changing the lore is what Lucas now does best. In Shadows of Empire Vader can't breathe without his mask in a hyperbaric chamber, and even there he can't do it for less then few minutes. In Rise of Dark Lord it's written that he can't see without his mask. Even in Return of Jedi Luke tells him, that if he takes off father's mask, Anakin will die.

 

And then I recently read "Darth Vader and the LostCommand" series, where he goes off to find Tarkin's son. In last episode of it he runs without his helmet and mask, with broken respirator control panel, generally he is in that state, as after being hit by Palpatine's lightnings..... And he is able to kill everyone who opposes him.

 

Soon we will probably learn, that his helmet was just decoy to cover his face, and he was just pretending to Emperor that he is weaker then he was in reality

Actually, Anakin Skywalker is the son of Goku who traveled through the dimensions thanks to the Dragon Balls.

He's declining, rapidly, due to all the damage he sustained. His suit is simply delaying his decay, not stopping it. Basically every action like the one you describe from "Lost Command" brings him one step closer to being only alive via his machines.

 

Remember, the force can't sustain him as well as he's lost so much of his connection to it when he lost significant portions of his body. Yep, it's a midiclorians based argument

weather or not he could survive without his mask, before jedi vader was emerged in the dark side and its possible that like sion he could use it sustain him (like palp did on mustafar) yet when he went light only his mask could keep him alive.
