Kourage
Why does it cost me 600 credits to ride an Imperial transport speeder from 1 Imperial Outpost to another (as an Imperial Agent by the way), but only costs like 128 credits for gas to fly a spaceship across the galaxy? Oh, and never any docking fees. Edited September 23, 2012 by Kourage
Uluain
For that matter, why is it hundreds of parsecs from Hutta to its own moon, Nar Shaddaa?
Odosept
I'm more interested in why it costs 30k credits just to remove a crystal from my lightsaber. Go figure...

I'm sure it has to do with game mechanics of not wanting players to get stuck, or not have to sell a bunch of their gear to catch a ride from planet to planet, or have to grind for minutes or hours to afford space fare. The way I figure it, the speeder use is an elective thing, you can get there by walking or running it only saves you time and hassle, but star travel is a necessity you need it to move from one plot point to the next. It's a silly fee to have at all. I was leaving Belsavis and noticed the fee to use the Imperial Transport service speeder was 600 credits. Seems pretty darn steep for anyone, much less for an Imperial Agent. They give me a spaceship for free, but charge me to hop a ride on a speeder. You have to use the speeder on Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa to get from area to area, I've only a lvl 38 Gunslinger so there might be others

Wish we had more free reign to climb buildings or drop down. I don't recall the travel costs there.

CosmicKat
Sometimes it feels like the biggest time involved in travelling is making the trip through the giganticly immense starports. Somebody should do a scale comparison of the Coruscant starport, it is probably one of the largest "zone" maps on the whole planet.
