Datacrons in bad locations

I've so far been able to do every datacron for the planet I'm on as I leave the planet, it's kinda a roundup thing I do, that is until Tatooine, because

there is no way I'd be able to handle all those imperials at my level... so why did they do this? Do they intend us to explore these planets and find the datacrons on them at the same time the content we have in our storyline should find them? Or are we expected to backtrack, I mean I could just run and run die, run and run, die run and run, die and eventually get there, but I hate that particularly the waiting part. Especially how much it costs in repairing equipment after a move like that.

So I'm curious what's the general consensus here, for Republic side in particular, did you just to from planet to planet having no trouble with getting the datacrons? Or did you have to backtrack?

Yeah getting that datacron requiring you going through the imperial zone is a pain. Not as much as the Jawa Baloon but i digress. :) If you get someone to come with you though you shouldn't be too bad. Esspecially if he/she is a healer or a high level char. Or if you have stealth. Their thought process? Honestly I have no idea. Although you do come back to Tatooine for the Bonus Series if you want to do it in which case you will be a higher level than your first visit so maybe they were thinking like that. Again just guesses on my part.

Anyway, best of luck on the hunt and may the Force be with you.

If you're talking about the one where you have to run through the Imperial base... yes, it's a pain... then I learned about a secret tunnel from the Dune Sea into Jundland.

You will have to fight sandpeople, but they aren't level 50.

That's a PvP zone, you'll get flagged and ganked. Not fun.

Not entirely true. I went through there lastnight with a guildy, lvl33 Knight, 32 Consular, to get that dataron. Never saw a single Imp player. It is possible to run through and get the datacron without even running into opposite faction players.

I'm usually playing at midnight but I've never seen an opposing character there, it's a desert. There are two chests there with PvP commendations too. Run through, collect 12 PvP comms and go on to get the datacrons :)

I guess I've just been lucky...

for now........

Level cap will be raised to 55 in the near future. But I know he was making a joke.

A joke but I also read the interview where this was STRONGLY hinted at, didn't know they had a magic number in mind though for how many more levels one could gain.

I see. Although you can easily get it when you are level 40. No need to get as high. But yeah Level increase FTW :D

I made a post about how to get this datacron the easy way, yes there is a easy way. After dieing 5-6 times, i asking in general chat if anyone knew how to past the Imperials and a nice person whisper me an told me how to get it. I am level 30, so if i can do it, you can too :)

Look for post, Tatooine datacron the easy way.

Hope this helps

In any case, that's the one I haven't done yet, and I'm going to wait till I'm more level appropriate before attempting it again. I'm thinking 54th level or so.

I got that datacron when I was underlevel for the planet (went there for the Rakghoul event to get the Crimson Rakling) and it was easy, just use the tunnel that the other person posted, you can avoid every single mob. The spacing of the mobs in the Heroic area makes this especially easy because you can run right between them, just keep an eye out for pathers.
