DPCummerbund
Okay, I've maxed out my crew skill (cybertech) at 400. The highest mods I can make are level 22. How do I learn to make higher level gear? And, having learned how, can I get the mats via normal missions, or is there something else involved? Sambril
The only way to get higher level crafted items is to RE higher level gear. You can extract mods from Black Hole or Campaign armor and RE with a 20% chance for a schematic. The armorings from gear can't be RE'd for schematics since they are slot specific and in the case of Campaign carry the set bonus, but unattached armorings which can be RE'd are dropped from some bosses in operations. You can also RE Black Hole earpieces. The materials needed come from operations or from the crafting materials boxes from the starship upgrade vendor, requires fleet commendations from space missions. Or you can try the GTN. DPCummerbund
I think I get it. So, since I just play PVE levels 1-49, I have basically no chance of getting schematics or mats for anything higher, no matter how many missions I send my companions on, correct? So basically, if I just want to sit on the fleet and make money, the highest I can do is the stuff the crew skill trainers give me, unless I get lucky with a schematic and mats on the GTN. If you do not play the level 50 endgame PvE, you can not unlock the endgame schematics. If you just want to sit around and do nothing, you get nothing. Why would you just want to sit on fleet? There's no PvE there. 2. There's the +41 Magenta crystal (level 56) if you don't want to group up The +41 Endurance/Critical schematics are a random drop from ANY mob in the Black Hole District. Chances are about 1/1000 so it took me 3 months of doing the weekly before I got it. If you don't want to farm the BH district, they sell on the GTN for about 700k. Dulfy's +33 Magenta Guide The only difference aside from the schematic source is that you need Pristine Adegan Crystals. You can get the Rough Adega Crystals from Alderaan and refine them on Tython/Korriban.
DPCummerbund
1. Why would you just want to sit on fleet? There's no PvE there. Because the alternative appears to be this: Chances are about 1/1000 so it took me 3 months of doing the weekly before I got it. Endgame stuff just sounds really boring and repetitive. I just hit 50 with my BH, and as far as I'm concerned I'm done with my BH until they make more content. I craft with my BH just to make money, which I send to my alts as I level them. It works really well - a few level 50 mods can pay for all the gear I need for my lower-level alts for quite some time.

You can get the +41 Power Schematic with a pretty much guaranteed drop rate off of the Nightmare Pilgrim. But you'd need to start doing some daily LFGs for the Black Hole Comms if you wanted to do that. I get that you don't like repetivive stuff, but if you don't do any dailies you won't be able to participate in themore fun stuff, like EC, NIghtmare Pilgrim and the like. Trust me, you'd benefit a lot from doing a couple of Operations - who knows you might like them so much that you go on to be a hardcore raider (it could happen;)).
