split_light Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 I don't know how it is with weapons, but my armorcrafter found a looted schematic for a pair of pants with mod slots. The slots were all empty, but I put some nice mods in them, and they were great. Perhaps they have to come via loot. Laura_Bodewig Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 Idk if you still haven't found an answer but, you can craft custom weapons (has all mod slots) by either getting schematics from loot or mission crew skills. They are item drops from missions, quest, bosses, etc. As far as critical crating which gives an augment slot: From the RE sticky Can Custom (Orange) items be critically crafted? While research is currently ongoing in this department, the answer seems to be yes. We have 100% confirmation that at least the weapons that weapon crafters can make which are pre-filled with mods can be critically crafted to gain an augment slot. Sildroni Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) Most of the current weapons that are fully modifiable and can be critically crafted with an augment slot are max or close to max level (I believe) from this site ( http://crewskills.net/ ) based on a Georg Zoeller post - In patch 1.2: ◦“Basemods” (Armoring, Hilts and Barrels – the mods that give an item its rating) will be extractable from Artifact-quality gear. ◦Custom armor will be crittable to give augment slots." pretty sure that means an orange moddable item with an augment slot as well as armor/mod/enhancement Current patch on the Test server is 1.1.4 IIRC so its in the works, not sure when tho.
