I have a couple of questions all rolled into this post. This is PRE lvl 30. I am thinking on pushing infusion to the far right of my heal bar and having (Injection, Probe, Diagnostic scan, Stim boost and Adrenal Probe) in that order. This order typically reflects my rotation. I am asking what you healers are doing as openers when in 4 person groups with a tank. What are you opening with, assuming you are not CCing a target with Dart.

My second question is really directed to Beta Raiders. How viable will we be as raid healers? Everywhere I see are Sorc healers and they seem to have an easier time and are often more desired for group heals. I am in this for the long term and I am a quick study. Is the medic Operative going to get into Operations as a healer?

Thanks much.

I always get probe rolling first. During my Athis run I pretty much kept probe on two people the entire time and then dropped big heals as needed. Only used infusion if someone was below 50% and needed to get back up. From what I hear we have the best sustained healing long term if we manage out resources correctly.

as healers we really dont have a rotation. throw the hot on people, react using big heal with the TA heal. dont be afraid to let the team get low on health if it means you are building up energy. We are useless if we blow our energy to fast. dont underestimate DS.

The method (pre-Surgical Probe) that works best for me is:

Kolto Injection on tank

Burn Tactical Advantage immediately by popping Stim Boost

If the tank is taking massive damage, use Kolto Injection as needed until you have time to lay 2 Kolto Probes on him/her

Then you simply keep Stim boost up whenever possible, keep double Kolto Probes on the tank, and on other party members as needed, and watch to see if any DPS'ers snag aggro and need aid.

This usually gives me ample energy and opportunity to keep Corrosive Dart on at least one target, and periodic standard rifle attacks. When the pack of enemies is down to the last mob, I usually can double Kolto Probe the tank for the last time, walk in and Backstab/Shiv/Overload Shot from behind.

Pretty much this. You really MUST have double probes up on the tank at all times while trying to keep stim boost up. This helps keep your energy high and the tanks HP from falling too quickly. Obviously you then mix in other heals when necessary. I've also rotated in some things like flashbang and shield probe sometimes to help get injects off when things get dicey.

tl;dr it really comes down to keeping probes+stim boosts active and reacting to everything else accordingly

Leveled purely in the medic tree and this is my two cents on a rotatoin;

-start off stacking your HoT to two stacks, preferrably before you pull

-as soon as possible use your first tactical advantage to put up your energy regen buff

-wait until tank or a player takes some damage and do a kolto injection to get your first tactical advantage up, one this happens make sure you keep up your tactical advantage if you know some damage is coming up your gonna need your bonus healing from with talents

-try to keep your energy regen up by staying above 65 energy, best way to do this is to rotate between kolto injections and your instant tactical advantage free heal unless the damage is too much, then do your faster heal with the consumption of the tactical point.

with downtime of not a lot of damage going out spam cast diagnostic scan, whenever it crits you restore energy and the way operatives are built, the higher energy you have the faster it regens.

**AoE healing is a little different, your 31 point talent aoe heal is based on your current target, and has no direct healing benefits, it is a hot that effects your target and the 3 closest people to that target, it does not prioritize healing, so if you are haeavy melee always use it on the melee and if your heavy range always use it on the range and do your direct heals on the odd one out.
