Lemmy_DB Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 With Biochem, Am I right in thinking that I should be able to reverse-engineer stuff? Only I don't have the reverse-engineer button at the top of my inventory window. Is there a certain skill level with biochem I need to get it first? Or is this a bug - and if so, is anyone else having the same problem?
KristofferAas Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I've experienced kind of the same problem. Sometimes the button is there, other times its not. Might be something I'm overlooking tho, like maybe you have to have crew members available (e.g. not on missions) for it to show?
Rorichan Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Hiya! Actually, it's a bug. In order to get it back just interact with a vendor. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon! Cheers! ~R~
Lemmy_DB Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Definately not related to whether your crew member is there - checked that. I'm sure I saw it in beta (but I think I remember it disappearing there at some point). Never seen it at all since going live. Glad it's not just me though.
Liavain Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 It sounds like you have a display bug. Press ctrl+u twice to reload your interface to see if that helps. Yes, you can improve on stuff you can make as Biochem. Green->blue->purple. Purple level items are useable only by Biochem but are reuseable.
Lemmy_DB Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 ctrl-u twice hasn't helped.. I'll try talking to a vendor though.
LtInvictus Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Try pressing the shortcut key to open up inventory (default I). For some reason this always makes the reverse engineer re-appear for me
