CEYSTATH
Please please please change the preview combo from "Ctrl+ Left" click to something completely different. I bought a companion outfit by mistake and lost 15k credits for an error (when my total credits were 23k). This is absurd. And I even hate the outfit :-(

Xerda
I would also like the preview to have some kind of zoom in option.
mysticdragon
I have done the same thing. It's very annoying. It's not that I'm rushing, its just easy to click the wrong mouse button by mistake. I would like an option to sell back to the vendor for full price within say, 5-10 minutes of buying. It was a good feature in other games >_>
Nighenhale
For companion outfits that I can't preview ingame I tend to turn to Torhead.com which usually has at least 1 screenshot of it. It's not ideal, but helps a lot. edit: oops, I think I missunderstood, you mean accident buying instead of not being able to preview it....right? Arlya
I did this yesterday too while previewing a headpiece on my character; it just purchased the item and I was out 8,500 credits. Maybe for more expensive items there could be a confirmation dialogue instead of just a right-click to buy.
SimplyCooL
Have done the same thing with commendation vendors. And thats a small sacrifice, wasting 15000 creds, when some things near Endgame costs 1000s upon 1000s credits, is a big "NO NO" There should definitely be an "Are you sure you want to spend ....." like in KOTOR for anything above a 1000/2000 credits... Jaku
Absurd that you rush and don't pay attention? The problem is ctrl + right click buys it, so if you accidentally mis-click while trying to preview something it buys the item.

Drebble
An optional confirmation dialogue would be no work at all to implement, and players can turn it on/off in preferences. Extra points for a configurable threshold - i.e. warn me over X credits.

Arathea
I've done the same thing. I don't think the problem is the preview key-combo. I think the problem is the lack of confirmation when buying stuff.
solmanian
My problem was with Jorgen kit. Since its a bunch of items inside the kit there wasn't any preview of it. They should change it to color kit, since the items were rubbish and I changed them all in less than an hour, making choosing the kit pointless. Extra points for a configurable threshold - i.e. warn me over X credits. I was thinking a percentage based prompt. Anytime you'd spend, say, 20% of your credits in a single transaction it would ask for confirmation. That way it would scale with wealth.
Kineticks
Im really confused how you manage to right click instead of left click...i think i now understand how people can be so bad at games you're brain tells you one thing and your fingers do something different. Yes, as someone said, a confirmation dialog for more expensive items would be nice. Also, it would be nice if I could preview weapons, tried with lightsabers but they don't show up
Niyenna
Confirmation dialogs are really annoying, and there isn't really any good reason to change the preview, since people will get used to it eventually. But having a sell back option would make the issue not exist. btw I did this too.

Or, you know, there's the possibility that it's a new game, a rarely used combination of keys, so maybe you're going "Is it ctrl left or ctrl right?". Well, your only option is to test. You have a 50% chance, right? You click the wrong one, bam, you're out 13000 credits. Believe me, I've been playing MMOs long enough to know this kind of stuff happens. I've also been playing long enough that I am quite skilled at the parts of the game that matter (PvP and PvE). Sometimes I screw up when the mouse involved because, well, as a good MMO player I don't use the mouse for much other than turning, since everything is keybound including targetting. Comar
a button would be nice or the possibility to rebind the preview key. i´d also like to have a higher res preview, its super washed out.

Yeah I dont know what happened to the preview texture quality. It used to be the same as in game but after a patch it went to crap.
Draagh
I also made this mistake and spent most of my pvp points by accident - I got an upgrade and used it in the end but it looks like crap compared to what I had Quick and easy solution: if control or shift is held down then dont allow buying with mouseclicks - it is obvious the player wants to do something else
