Bioware, ditch the fleets

Sitting on a 3.4ghz quad core and a gtx 560 and even on the lowest quality setting i still got 15fps in the Ilum PVP area, it's an engine issue, i've played gw2 open world pvp with twice as many players at higher graphics settings with no problem at all.

Even that's out of date though dude. Not saying it's acceptable to design games for the top 90th percentile of hardware being used; but your specs are not in that top 10%. It your processor.

not saying my system is top of the range but it should be more then enough for any current MMO, which it well and truly is for all, except when it comes to SWTOR. I mean GW2 in beta runs smoother and loads faster on my system than SWTOR does after 7 months of being released.

Anyway done talking about load times and frame rate as it's starting to derail the thread.

Please, ditch the fleets in favor of player cities that both factions can go to, this is incredibly important to the integrity of an MMO. Having multiple cities on multiple planets (with reasons for us to go to the cities of course) would be incredibly beneficial for world pvp and would help in making planets feel less like leveling zones and more like, you know, planets.

Plain and simple every planet, and every city should be accessible by both factions, period. Even if their are stupid powerful guards that can wipe out a large group of players from an opposing faction, at least it would help in making every place feel less like a leveling zone.

I know there's going to be haters out there, but there has got to be someone out there that agrees with me? Right?

Totally agree OP...

Its the one thing I really miss about SWG. Fleet is lifeless, stagnant, and has little to no social aspects at all, aside from "DPS LFG HM OPS" in general chat.

In SWG you actually felt like you were in a living City, A trip to Eisley saw players of all levels, visiting Entertainers, asking questions, Level 90s helping 10s with advice and quests. A bustling and active Cantina that felt like a Cantina, and was a social hub of the game.

Seriously come onto any fleet and glance at your Cantina area at any given time of the day on any server and tell me how many people are in it.....I will bet on 1-3 at best, and win that bet on EVERY single server.

As developers you have created no reason at all for Higher players to associate with lower planets, have ZERO social options in the game at all. No, getting social points for questing OPS and FP's is not the same.

I have Social 10 on my Main, have never really had the need to meet new players, as i came to the game with 20 players of my guild, have gotten none of those points from helping lower levels, or frequenting my Capital Planet.
