PVP should be player fight againest player, not player fight againest npc follower. And it is really funny that you'll always have to kill enemy's healer follower then fight with him.

Also it makes you start to worry about which follower you should bring since you can not swtich them once the battle starts and those healers definately has far more advantage than other followers.

haveing follower to help the player is not a bad design, but having them join the pvp battle is really stupid. I think once the pvp outdoor battle starts, the follower should desappear and let players fight with player purely.

World PvP should be absolutely unregulated.

Want to fix world pvp? Take out those pesky guard dog npcs and institute a "bolster down" when entering areas. That makes every planet viable to revisit for pve as well.

followers affect the battle too much. it is hardly called pvp anymore. It also makes it very boring when two players try to kill each other's healer follower fisrt. If you bring the wrong follower, you lose the battle. And another problem is , it is very unfair for those dps classes in world pvp, a tank can bring a healer. you will still have to kill the tank to beat him. What if a dps bring a tank follower, do you attack the tank follower first? And i think this is called unfair rather than unregulated.

I don;t mind if i encounter two enemy players and get killed by them together, at least i feel i am fighting againest players, but with the powerful follower, it is like pve again. one on one skills are worthless and having the super strong follower become more important, that's not the way it should be.

There's no such thing as good PvP in an RPG. It's always gonne tend to come down to who has the better stats. Whether that includes companion stats (and how they interact with the main's stats) or not. Either way it's only marginally going to be based on player skill.

So why bother doing any work to try to "fix" it?

(not to mention open up a heck of a way to grief. Start pestering lvl 50's with your lvl 5 by attacking them when they are fighting some elite or something. POOF goes their companion.)

If you actually know how to play your class it doesn't matter if your opponent has a companion out.

You're just bad.

Since both players presumably will have a companion out ("follower"?), I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed. Outside of group content, your companion is pretty much an extension of your character.

When I am out questing, I normally have with me a companion that I find useful and that I play effectively with. I choose a companion to help balance out my weaknesses -- for example, as a healer I prefer a DPS companion. And I put in the effort to keep my companion well geared.
