Knockerz
lol looks like I hurt a programmers feelings by pointing out how horrible they are at their job. Ok OP, here is a more detailed explanation. The Bioware programmers, and CSR are horrible ... except maybe the writers and designers (<= sole reason im still here). The game is riddled with more bugs than I have ever seen in not only any MMO, but in video games in general. To this day even KoTOR is a buggy mess which I have to jump through hoops to get working on more modern computers while games like Starcraft 1, and Jedi Outcast, BOTH OLDER still work perfectly. Every patch that is released for SWTOR introduces more bugs than it actually fixes (assuming it even actually fixes the bug they claimed to have been fixed) and it takes them FOREVER to both fix or implement anything which other game dev programmers have fixed/implemented MUCH quicker. They are probably the biggest reason this game isnt doing as well as it should. And THAT, to answer your question OP, is why windowed mode "suck" so much. (that better Mr. No Name Fill-in For Actual Community Managers person?) It's probably due to the fact that memory is so cheap now days that you don't need to write an efficient code for a program to run unlike in the old days when cpu and memory were limited. mavsynchroid
Something in your computer isn't strong enough. Def user end. I only say that because I play solely in windows mode on max settings, and it runs absolutely fine for me.

As for BW fixing or adding bugs, there are worst gaming companies. If the game doesn't crash and is playable on a formidable computer, I'm fine with it. If some one is playing on a weak computer and don't want to spend money every two years to upgrade their computer well they should stick to console systems and used games. Computer gaming has always been more expensive than console systems, but offer more variety of games and more freedom like modding games ect. Thus, computer gaming isn't for people who want to buy a machine and not upgrade it for 4-6 years. Computer gaming isn't like console gaming. At moment I'm building a new computer to replace my desktop. It's going to be a water cooling system with a 7970 and a 3570k cpu. It's very expensive to water cool, but very quiet compared to an air system and looks spectacular. Edited July 25, 2012 by Knockerz

Knockerz
water cooled is pretty neat but there are cases out there that are dead silent. You won't be able to to reduce the noise from the gpu especially when you oc. The performance and silence of a water cool and oc system can not be match by air cooling, which is why I went with a water cooling solution, especially for gpu temp and silence. Although it's a lot more complicated than an air cooling system in terms of building the computer. I'm almost done, but I ran into a few problems and needed to order and return some components. It's really slow building this computer, but I say in one more week I will be done. Edited July 25, 2012 by Knockerz
VulcanLogic
Not having this problem myself, and I always run at 60+ in windowed, even on the fleet and in PvP.
ckoneful
I have no issues with windowed mode. I stay in it and there is no "loading" between alt-tabbing unless it's NOT in windowed mode.
