DirtyRavePanda
Saying that they "will" fix it doesn't change the fact that I spent 60 bucks to lag and not be able to hit anything. I've waited years for this game only to be met with nigh unplayable warzones with unresponsive combat. The "oh, they'll fix it.... eventually" chimes are just pointless. Well said. Bascal
Been having fps and spell delay issues. Don't know if it's the engine or what. My desktop is running: AMD Phenom II 965 x4 (stock clocked at 3.4ghz)560 GTX-ti8 gigs of RAM10mb/s fiber line I shouldn't be having problems running @ 1080 Even more worrysome, my gaming laptop, can BARELY run the game on low in 720. It's a brand new Sony Vaio F series sporting: i7 x4540m8 gigs of RAMwith 10 mb/s internet I can't even imagine playing a WZ on my laptop seeing as how it can't break 30 fps questing. This really needs to be addressed, the clunky engine is the biggest reason I won't be subbing after my first month expires. I don't demand MW3's gun control of smoothness in my MMO but ffs the ability delay and fps drops make or break battles in PvP and can often be gamebreaking. Korvad
Their engine is not design for mmos. It fits well solo games, not massive multiplayers game. Plus, their engine has some flaws concerning animations and cancelling animations. Fail at the peek.

Dontdieplez
I have somewhat the same problem I can play the game questing fine but whenever I group up for heroic quests of 4 people or whenever I enter combat in pvp I lag like crazy there's no way I can heal so I have to resort to dpsing for now since it's a little bit more forgiving in the lag department I should be level 50 next weekend for the love of god I hope they fix this before I start raiding otherwise I'm going to have to stay dps. Drahkor
Being having some serious FPS issues too. I simply had to give up for now on my Jedi because I can't frigin hit anything. The only game I can play with a somewhat acceptable FPS is Huttball (15-30). sabresandiego
It doesnt make sense why there is more lag in a warzones in this game then there is in a 64 player battlefield 3 match, which has nearly 0 lag.

Lordkoon
At least they're working on it. You mean they say they are working on it. As far as I am concerned even if you ask them do they like chicken meat or pork meat the answer will be : Our main team is investigating the possible outcomes in long-terms for the chicken meat while our other team tries to sum up the pork-meat features. When we are able we will inform you which is scientifically better for customer consumption. Thank you for your time and patience. Darth_Vampirius
I get frame dips whenever another player walks by. So, in Warzones, there is a lot of lag. I can usually stay back at range and keep frames going. Sometimes, weird laggy stuff happens with massive delays. It's the wrong kind of challenge. Core 2 Quad 64 Bit OS Geforce 560 TI Superclocked 8 GB RAM All drivers updated (Other specs do not matter) System runs Skyrim and Batman AC gloriously. forsee
Do we need more of the same posts? Well, I'm having the same problem. FPS are 20-50 in normal game, no problems there. Also, the Flashpoints are without problems and very playable (im lvl 27 now ). But then the warzones...5-10 fps...ssss, Bioware, I want to hit something, not look at a powerpoint presentation of starwars . You all know the story. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to...cancellation of subcriptions... First it didn't annoy me so much. But now, i really miss the possibillity to get one or two extra levels out of PVP play before moving on to a next planet. Bioware, please fix this problem...I will peronally send you a protocol droid message when you do . If not...
krausen
+1 for this too. I can run the game just fine everywhere except Warzones... Alderaan is certainly the worst, as 1/4th of the time I get lagged out so much that I get booted from the Warzone before I can click the speeder. Other times after being killed, the speeder doesn't render in time to be clicked. Really, something isn't right if I can run around on some of the more graphically demanding planets, with very little/no lagg, but the second I step into an isolated PvP instance the game turns into a slideshow. Please fix this, BioWare. This exactly, QFT
Combinesd
I just upgraded my Processor from a Phenom 9600 to a Phenom II 955, majority of FPS issues solved, Warzones were 5-9fps, now never below 40 and usually above 60 runs really nice. I do notice FPS drops and i contribute this to a real problem with the game, but A simple hardware upgrade for me made any drops stay above 30 FPS and the game is great now. My GFX card is not crazy good nor absolutely terrible, so I would suggest people look to their processors as being a problems before their gfx cards, unless there's an obvious issue. Despite there being problems with the game itself don't just assume its the game before you inspect your hardware is all I recommend. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 1/3/2012, 00:17:44 Machine name: COMBINE Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: BIOS Date: 09/14/10 15:22:45 Ver: 23.01 Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8192MB RAM Page File: 6084MB used, 10296MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 64bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ Display Tab 1: No problems found. Aaoogaa
My fps is fine. The issue I have is when I switch targets to heal in a warzone there is some sort of lag before my heals activate and start landing. I do not have this issue in PVE. Press the button..wait...wait..spell casts. After the first spell lands I have no more lag unless I switch targets. It doesn't always happen...just usually in the thick of combat. Yes, they are in range. Yes, they are in sight, No, I am not stunned. No, I am not being interrupted. Yes, it does suck.
LordOfWarX
I am getting same problem, Everywhere it seems fine except for warzones and the imperial fleet which both are laggy to the point where its not playable. At least imperial fleet there is mission to defend or attack positions so I just have to manage my way through the laggy situation there. It is hard to even target an enemy when they are jumping all over the place, not to mention the lag in the pressing of skill hotkeys. I was on a domination warzone where to get into the battlefield you ride in on a spawned speeder and the speeder never loaded untill a few sec before the timer for me to leave the start zone was up and got kicked from the warzone. If this is not fixed soon I will not be participating in any pvp and may even stop playing all together if I get bored with pve.
greenmartin
This spit is infuriating at this point.I looked past the warzone lag during early access because EVERYONE was complaining about it so I assumed that meant BW knew about and it would be fixed asap.Been way too long for an issue like this to be going on. It's not beta anymore. No way I could subscribe without functioning pvp. I can max games with much higher requirements but enter a swtor warzone and it's stop motion. It feels like a memory leak without the actual memory leak.Doesn't feel like a card or processor issue I have ever had.All I know is nothing I have done on my end has had any affect AT ALL. Game looks like a pile of crap compared to Skyrim or BF3 too but it performs worse? It just doesn't make any damn sense. Would resubscribe if fixed now basically. I don't even have time for this in my free time.
Ellouhollia
Hello All, I went from complete and utter nonsense to a smooth experience by doing the following: ===#1 - Modified client_settings.ini to look like this: [Renderer] D3DFullScreen = true Height = 1050 NativeHeight = 1050 NativeWidth = 1680 TextureAnisotropy = 1 Width = 1400 WindowX = 0 WindowY = 0 MeshLODQuality = 0 VerticalSyncState = false EnableBloom = false TextureQuality = 1 UseMinSpecShaders = false doShadows = false PlantDensity = 1 AntiAliasingLevel = 8 [Game] MoviesFolder = ..\..\Movies SwtorRegKey = SOFTWARE\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic ===#2 - Set Node Interleave to Auto (BIOS Advanced Memory options) ===#3 - I noticed a ton of disk reads at all manner of odd times, so I move the app from relatively slow SATA drives to absurdly fast SSD drives (striped pair). I am sure installing the game on any really fast HDD/SSD will help. ===#4 - Run game graphics at low quality during Warzone PvP (which really isn't) I do not have a hugely fancy system - Tyan 2915 w/2xAMD 2212 Dual Core Cpu's, 16gb of pc 5300 mem, and a recent add GEFORCE GTX 560 ti. Note that there was also some setting to make sure the GPU does certain work instead of the CPU's, but i forget what it was. Anyway - all the instanced PvP was rather glorious without lag/weird fps....hope this helps others... GyroGate
I'm upgrading my hardware to see if that resolves my FPS drops as well. After switching to the ATI 12.1 prerelease driver, I gained a lot of FPS in the Republic Fleet - but it's still down in Warzones. In Alderaan Civil War I can stand around with 40 FPS in the Pre-Match room, run out with around 20 then it's down to 5-10 with 1 sec ability delay when the guns start fireing. Huttball and the Bombing Run is pretty much just as laggy - giving me delay on every ability I got. If my new graphics card, motherboard and processor doesn't solve this problem - I'm unsubscribing.(even though I feel like unsubbing just because of the complete lack of costumer service. Can't say I've ever experienced this kind of treatment/lack of information before.) Edited January 3, 2012 by GyroGate
PelcPete
Nerd Rage!! is what I spend most my time doing while attempting a warzone. I find myself logging back into the big MMO just to have some PVP fun! Don't make me buy the panda game just to pvp /cry. However they do seem to have fixed Taris so maybe just maybe this is next in queue. I certainly hope so it's the biggest issue in the game ATM!
