I want my legacy name as: Darth Bessas My problem is when I tried to create it (see images) http://beta.xfire.com/users/bessas/screenshots/123417492 ( I want this name) and when I click Create this error pops up: http://beta.xfire.com/users/bessas/screenshots/123417499 I created a ticket and I got this reply: http://beta.xfire.com/users/bessas/screenshots/123417602 ``We have investigated the error You reported, and have confirmed with our specialist team that in fact is not a bug, and is working as designed. The name that You are choosing may already be taken and is no longer available.`` I am not playing this game often. But many ppl on the server said You can`t use space between names. What is than a bug...Name Darth Bessas is used by noone simply It is a bug that prevents names with a space between. I already tried DarthBessas too not working...A superior MMO game and this bug...I want to use this name for my legacy name please correct this error. Because it is a bug. And when I create a character why I can`t use space when naming it? Another bug? Thx for any reply! Have a nice day! B. SWtor has pretty strict naming conventions and since Darth is A) a title you can earn in the game and B) an important part of Star Wars lore. Perhaps you should try it without putting the Darth in the legacy name itself? Bessas is a pretty good legacy name in itself. It makes sense too, imo, since a legacy name is supposed to be the name of your family. So imagine your character's name at the end of the questline if he/she is a SW or a SI: "Darth Bessas Darthbessas'. It would be like Diana Ross naming her son Ross and condemning him to a life of being called 'Ross Ross'. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JakkFrost Posted May 13, 2012 Share Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) Indeed, "Darth" is a title, and since your character's name is Bessas, with that title your name would appear as "Darth Bessas Darth Bessas", somewhat redundant. Sure, you could put it as a legacy title for your alts, ie "The Darth Bessas Legacy", but as Crysantemum said, that would violate the naming policy. In any part where the user enters their own choice of a name, use of any part of a name from the movies is technically not allowed, even with intentional misspellings to resemble the name, though a lot of users get away with it, at least until they get reported. Bessas Posted May 13, 2012 Author Share Posted May 13, 2012 Hello! Thank You for feedback both! I didn`t know that I got ``Darth`` title after finishing class quest.
