Elmillia
You know what the most annoying thing in the game is? Random NPCs talking. You're running back and forth on Coruscant between the senate sector and whatever sector you're questing in. EVERYTIME you run past them, the speeder driver and his passenger have a loud argument. Everytime i run past C2N2, he says something. Everytime you run thogh the space port on Taris, Governer Saresh talks to you. I'd like an option to turn these NPCs off. Razdek
I like that about the game, it feels more alive .
Hochspitch
I like that about the game, it feels more alive . Yeah I agree with this,if anything I want more of it. There's an npc quest giver on Ord Mantell who, when you get near her, says "hey keep your head down and get over here" which leads into the mission you get from her. Was very impressed with the likes of that.
GooseGrims
yea i like the random talking when traveling around citys/towns but what i dont like is no matter how far away you get you still hear them talking as if they are right next to you.
Kynesis
It does make things feel more alive, but hearing identical lines repeated verbatim, over and over does wear thin - if it's in a high-traffic area, it probably is worth at least setting a limit on how often they say their lines, particularly if they only have one line to repeat. Audio clips overused do quickly become annoying.
MajinUltima
I agree that it can be annoying if you run past the same trigger point frequently (Coruscant is probably the chief example), but I appreciate the immersion benefit of the NPCs having their own little discussions and problems. Anytime I'm at Anchorhead, I trigger the Jawa & Angry Customer dialogue on purpose though. "Vocabulator not broken! Is feature!" A feature most of us wish we had for our ship droids prior to 1.2.
