Leveling alts should be faster...

I have two 50's...questing is starting to get EXTREMELY boring/irritating but I still want to try other classes at level 50 in warzones.

I really can't stand questing anymore and it is really the only viable method of leveling to 50 as far as I'm concerned. Bioware should REALLY think about adding another alternative to leveling besides just questing. Maybe in 1.3 increase exp you get from running random flashpoints using the LFG finder to make it on par with questing in terms of speed? I don't see how this could be a problem since it requires other players, etc.

Also, doing warzones is NOT an alternative. I know I'll get the typical haters on here saying "do space missions, warzones blah blah blah". C'mon now, I know how this game works, and that is slower than hell. Besides, you can't exceed your level in terms of valor rank so doing non stop warzones to level goes right out the window.

For each level 50 you have, your exp gain should double. Something along these lines...I know I'm not alone here when I say that questing is really starting to SUCK after your first few 50's.

I agree. The first time playing through Republic/Empire content is absolutely fantastic, but after that the only interesting part of questing is the class quests. Indeed the only reason I'd level additional alts is to experience those class quests.

Faster leveling speed is definitely one solution. I just want to experience the various class quests without the need to grind side-quests I have done several times already.

ADD: On the other hand I feel I'm absolutely spoiled. In WoW the content was completely repetitive (lolclassquest), yet people still managed to make many alts. Of course, leveling is a lot faster in WoW with heirloom gear. A single flashpoint usually gives you 2-4 levels.

Disagree with the OP, is already fast enough.

That said we already know they are adding means through Legacy to level faster in 1.3.

Well, I guess it doesn't necessarily need to be faster. But the same old quest grind is hurting my brain. There should be another alternative that allows you to level just as fast as questing. I don't care if it's warzones, or something totally new like I mentioned about the LFG system. Just give us something besides the same old damn quests...

Warzones.

Space Combat.

Flashpoints.

Experience gain as it currently stands is fine.

There are alternative methods of gaining XP other than world missions.

And they are all slower than hell, as stated in the OP. Ok, I'll play hardball.

You know there is an issue when people are buying THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS to afk bot space missions 20 hours a day.

Yeah. I see the issue too. People are idiots.

Kinda agree.

People complain there's nothing to do at 50 but use bots to level characters to 50 to do nothing ?

If you don't have fun with the 50 content, maybe rolling alts is better for you.

If you also don't have fun making alts, for what reason are you here ?

haha if you think lvling is hard/tedious you should try playing City of Heroes and see what debt exp is, be thankful BW didnt do that haha

edit: for those that dont know debt exp in CoH was if you died you would get some 'debt exp' and from then you would only get half of your exp gains from anything and the other half would go twords working off your 'debt exp' so depending on how bad you were it could actually take up to twice as long to lvl.

Kinda yes because I don't really understand your point.

You have 50s, with them you seem to have fun. You are leveling new characters questing and don't have fun so you ask to make leveling to 50 faster.

I told you about the coming features in 1.3 Legacy.

I understand it's slower to level without questing but still if it's not fun why don't you do some WZs, FPs or space instead of doing something you don't find fun.

I don't understand how you can level by doing quests only if you don't like. Yes it's slower through other means but not that much and at least you would have fun doing things you enjoy better.

I find leveling to be easier and faster when rolling alts. From presence bonuses I was able to solo The Esseles with my Jedi Sage at lvl 10 and have yet to find a Herioc that I was unable to solo. This in effect speeds up leveling.

me to honestly!

Yes the storyline is boring when you do Taris ffor the 4th time.

Personally with alts I turn off sound, turn on a audio book, and just level away!

Occationally turning sound back on for class storyline scenes

One of the worst things dark age of camelot ever did was add the /level. it kept people from learning their class and alienates new players away from the players that have "earned" the right level faster.

Level grinds suck, but with this game being story driven it makes it less of a chore.

And that is where off rails space combat and space exploration comes in. Also minigames. Housing. And more exciting quests with different methods to pass them. Also Open World cross server PvP....

I'd like

- XP from trading and delivery space missions, also successful smuggling

- XP from mining asteroids or scanning and finding anomalies

- XP from open World PvP

- XP from playing minigames in the Nar Shaddaa casino

- XP from solving mysteries

- XP from housing

....

Your debt was paid in less than one mission in most cases unless you were constatnly dying. Honestly in that game if you died before lvl 50 on their normal content you probably have issues with walking and chewing gum at the same time.

I think he was referring to when City of Heroes didn't have a debt cap. In the beginning, blasters would often have that issue.

It all went down hill after Cryptic sold it to NCSoft. And then even more so after it went F2P.

EB's = Elite Bosses
