corebit
Despite being a 7-year old game, WoW continues to add some really great features. I just read that they are adding Cross Realm Zones to their MOP beta: In the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta, we’re introducing a new technology that will enable players to meet up and group with other players in under populated areas of the world such as low level zones or areas that other players may have outleveled or moved on from. This technology will allow players to form a group with other players from within a select pool of realms in order to quest just like they normally would while still allowing the social structures of their home realms to remain intact. And here's the link to the story: http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/2772-Cross-Realm-Zones-Coming-to-Beta I think SWTOR could use this, as most of its planets feel really dead. I barely see people questing in planets that are not starter or endgame/daily quests ones. What do you think? I think one of the reasons why SWTOR is losing ground in the MMO space is it offers really nothing innovative or unique apart from their vaunted "Story". WoW, the game it supposedly draws most of its inspiration from, has a lot of things that SWTOR is still playing catch-up to. Months after game launch, Bioware is still struggling to develop a Cross-Realm Group Finder, meanwhile WoW is already upping the ante with Cross-Realm Zones and Account-Wide Achievements, mounts and pets.
