brgnomnom
how should a lethality op handle melee that switch to them? i am getting ***** when this happens and their tank defensive cds negate my low damage.
MobiusZero
Well, first and foremost, Lethality isn't a toe to toe spec. Typically you want to try and avoid confrontations with melee, unless you are confident in your ability to kill them. There is nothing wrong with you not fighting them and trying to escape - it doesn't mean you are less skilled or less useful than they are. The most helpful realization I made as Lethality, was that our purpose is to be very mobile, and not to fight people 1 on 1 (though we most certainly CAN. Never underestimate the power of Cull.). Sure, you may have trouble killing them head on, but that isn't your job. Your job is to escape them and then shoot them in the back when they aren't targeting you. Usually a simple debilitate is all it takes to escape, and return to the battle within seconds, from a different vantage. Meanwhile, said melee enemy has changed targets. brgnomnom
running sounds like a good strat! i saw a few vids and i've been getting into the role you described and i like it. the part where melee come to **** me seems like the only drawback. my best games im doubling up the next highest damage but then there are games where their whole team is melee and i cant los/run as well so i get trained frequently. i will have to work at my escape techniques. in a few levels i will be trying healing so they will come in handy! Pop debilitate and vanish. Wait for them to lose interest in finding you.
QisaBluevixen
I have yet to figure out how to effectively escape someone chasing me without using Cloaking Screen. I can use Debilitate and hope they don't have their CC breaker up. Flash Bang is mostly out unless, by some luck, I haven't already DoT'd them. Corrosive Grenade and the Operative snare should help too, but Force Leap or force speed or that BH tether line or whatever else closes the gap quickly. Mostly I just do what the others here have said and pop Cloaking Screen + Evasion. They almost always choose another target then. When it's down, though, back to the spawn point.
