Harlequintwo
I had to replay the conversations to get the best solution. Not that I was looking for the most points, but I wanted the best one that would work. Being an Imperial patriot, I gave her a telling off, but towards the end I stressed that I understood that she would never change, but at least help me out. She seemed to like it and it represented my character quite well. It also gives a reason why she's still aboard my ship. Had I been any more dark side I'd have blown her brains out. She lies and she backstabs. Still a shock, but anyone who didn't have a clue about it clearly didn't pay attention to her story. All in all, very well written character. falconschild
I have a feeling when I finally get him there, this is going to deeply hurt my Operative, Alberic. He's extremely paranoid, due to his bad experiences with both the Empire and the Republic - doesn't really trust either side anymore. I'm not entirely certain how he'll react in the long run when the one person he's completely trusted all this time, Kaliyo, betrays him like that. He's mostly Light-sided at the moment...though far less pro-Empire than he was before Kaliyo taught him to ask clever questions and before his encounter with a certain chemical injection. He may tell her off as well...but he may also become distinctly less approachable. Which could be a bad thing for him, since I'm on an RP server (Lord Adrass) and in an RP guild. Playing someone who literally doesn't trust anyone at all really doesn't make for long conversations with guildmates. Guess I'll have to see what happens with him in the context of his story in the game at the time it happens.
erei
She lies and she backstabs. Still a shock, but anyone who didn't have a clue about it clearly didn't pay attention to her story. All in all, very well written character. That's more complicated. We clearly see she choose to side with you in the end, and it seems obvious she didn't planned to give you to the anarchists. This is what I liked about Kaliyo. When she first start working with you, it's obvious she have her own reasons, and doesn't care about you. But the more you talk to her, the more she start to like you. In the end, she betray her old friends to save you. Kaliyo will never say something like "you're my best buddy in the galaxy !" and mean it. Doing this is her way to show her affection for you. Yeah, IMO, betraying old friends to save your *** from her own scheme, is some sort of love letter. That's Kaliyo, she is a *****, but she have feelings. Just a different way to express them. NicWester
As I've said elsewhere, Kaliyo is the Jayne Cobb of the Agent storyline. The betrayal here is basically a combination of Jaynestown and Ariel, with Kaliyo doing her thing working against the group, only to come to her senses and stand by you when it gets out of control. Okay, technically Jayne wasn't working against the crew in Jaynestown, but I feel it still fits. I've got to agree with the person above me, the writers did a great job of hitting the right tone with Kaliyo. At first she's clearly just walking alongside you, so to speak, but by the time you hit Tatooine (and about 4k affection) she's starting to become attatched to you against her own inclinations. BubbleDncr
I was way behind on getting Kaliyo up in affection, so my light-sided agent had already finished her storyline before I this got mission. As a result: 1) I no longer cared that she had given away Empire secrets, as long as they weren't my secrets 2) I figured my agent had known Kaliyo well enough to expect this from her, and as such, forgave her, because you can't hate Kaliyo for doing what's in her nature. Besides, I had already stabbed her in the back once, so we're even.
bright_ephemera
Heh. First, I'm dying to know what she thought we were coming for. Was I supposed to come help them blow up a building? Second, I played pro-Empire all the way. I liked Kaliyo, I humored Kaliyo when it didn't compromise the mission, I slept with Kaliyo, I always expected Kaliyo to turn around and bite me. I yelled at her for selling that information - she's compromising my cred with my employers here - and if I'd had the choice I would've cut her loose. If I liked her any less I would've killed her outright. My job matters more to me than she does, and when I find out she's getting Imperial citizens killed, she's not allowed to use me any more. Or so I wish. Interesting quest, kind of an inevitable thing even if the details couldn't be predicted.
Felbear
I was looking for a way to kill her because of that, though I have been wanting to basically since Hutta.
Celacia
My agent always knew she would turn around and bite her. It was just a question of when and how hard. For example, she refused to take Kaliyo to Hoth because she thought the White Maw might be able to make her an offer that she wouldn't want to turn down. Livia's morals are pretty gray anyway, and she doesn't much care what Kaliyo does on the side, as long as it doesn't affect the work that she is trying to do. She forgave her, and told her she wasn't even really bothered by it, because when forced to make a choice Kaliyo chose her, and that was what mattered. DragonAgeOrgins
Kaylio reminds me of "Jack" in Mass Effect 2. She's tough on the outside, very open to what she want's and doesn't really care what anyone thinks. I don't know how this situation would have played out if I wasn't at max affection. I found out reports from ACT 1 about The Wheezer. I don't know why she would go for a mouth breathing iron freak but guess that's just how it was. She backed me up when it counted but she still sent critical data to other people. That is nearly every Imperial Agent, nightmare because knowledge holds power. Her whole personality if you can get over the guy hopping out of your ship and her other stuff you won't be bothered by this. She is just the bad *** personality type to me. I wish there was a balance to being bad and good being like vette. She is the first companion you get and interesting romance ideas.
