Screaming_Ziva
I've probably run Black Talon at least 100 times between all my characters and yesterday was the first time my group did not kill the captain and I was shocked to find my usual path blocked and we had to go another route and fight a different boss. I even got a new Codex entry after finishing the flashpoint. Do any of the other flashpoints have a different path depending on choices made by the group? stineo
Believe only the first flashpoint on the rep side is the other one. Other then that I don't believe there is another. Can't believe it took you that long to not kill the captain lol.
Wolfninjajedi
There has always been two ways, either kill or spare the captain. Though sparing the captain is the better choice, seeing as his subordinate is a complete incompetent moron who can't even handle a blaster and gets everyone killed. EpicLotus
As far as I know, it's the only one with a branching structure based on the choices you make in the dialogue tree. Frankly, they need more flashpoints like Black Talon, and not just because of the optional paths. Lost Island is their best attempt since BT because they managed to keep it pretty concise (my regular group runs it in just over half an hour), but it's still pretty light on story content, even if you're activating the nodes for the bonus boss. Fozziwig
I was shocked to find that as well, and I agree that I like the "light side" version of the instance better
zerosaint
IA's should always vote to not kill the captain. Every time I've run BT -without fail- the IA Chest is in the loot box after killing the 4 repbulic commandos. And I've run BT a lot.

I've picked up the Agent coat from the droid several times, so it's not really tied to the alignment choice. Also the Esseles has a light/dark choice early on when you're trying to solve the security lockdown.
Cmdluke
I got yelled at with my Jugg cause I killed the captain. sorry, but he doesn't abide failure, even if the consequences are worse than the original failure. he doesn't think that far ahead and will just kill the replacement if they fail. eventually you will get a competent replacement. lol

All the Esseless 'Darkside' really changes is you don't need to hack those 4 devices and some dialog. Nothing like BT.
