Fungi
Lately finding groups for flashpoints has been really painful. 1) I've tried turning on the lfg tool and going about my business, but that's not the most effective way to actively and purposefully engage other people that may want to do the same flashpoints. 2) I've tried standing in the republic fleet and spamming in general every couple minutes that I'm LFG for hard mode flashpoints, and while moderately effective during peak times, this has got to be the most boring and unproductive way to find a group. The possibility exists that I may stand there for hours with no luck. 3) I've tried playing my alts and flagging myself LFG with the comment noting that I'm a 50 tank. No bites on this, ever. Waste of energy even hitting the LFG button. I would really like to either a) get a global LFG channel that you can join from any planet, or b) give players the freedom to create custom channels so that we can organize this ourselves on our individual servers. I'm really not sure how improving the LFG experience could possibly be detrimental to the community experience. Isn't the whole point of the MMO that you play with other people? If I don't want to see spam in a channel I have the freedom to drop the channel. No big deal. Help us out here.
Eviceus
I would really like to either a) get a global LFG channel that you can join from any planet, or b) give players the freedom to create custom channels so that we can organize this ourselves on our individual servers. As for option "b", that is already possible, simply via /cjoin CHANELLNAME (the first person to join will create the channel) However, there is no way for you to propagate such channel among other players short of spamming Fleet, which is thankless job with uncertain outcome. In time ppl on server might get used to it and most will join such custom channel, but its a lottery. To be honest the global LFG channel should have been created by BW in first place. The fact that BW does not know this is one of the community killers and in my opinion responsible for good chunk of that 25% playerbase drop. no global LFG channel + no LFG tool = no multiplayer = one huge BW fail
Keypek
I haven't done a FP on my server in months. Would be really fun to do them levels 10-49 but is practically impossible due to A) terrible population, B) what population there is being so spread out and segregated, and C) no apprentice or "level down" system. And there isn't much of a point doing them at 50 so no one ever does.

Arkerus
What is your server size? The best way to get FPs (until the group tool is implemented) is to get into a guild. I understand thats not always the best answer, especially if you aren't going to be super active in it. Our server (anchorhead) also uses a channel called "lfg". rjkishida
the only solution is to re-roll on a populated server. just throw away all that hard work to get however many characters you have at 50 and all the time to get them geared and just forget about it. Because it will take Bioware forever to pull their thumb out and actually get server transfers working. They may say early summer but they will probably do something half-assed like with APAC transfers and only allow SOME people to transfer.

I agree, the re-roll seems to be the only solution that is viable at this time. I've done it twice as my second choice of server de-populated so quickly it was spooky. I logged onto my gunslinger from my second server yesterday. I'm pretty sure I've been the only person--in the guild--online in a couple of months. I'm assuming that all of them re-rolled as well. illgot
you should see server transfers in a month or two. lol, good luck with that after Diabo 3, TSW, and GW2 take their toll on the population. My server is dead. When leveling my level character to 50 I had to bribe people to run me through the low to mid flashpoints. 30k to 100k a run. I tried legitimately grouping but could never get more than 1-2 other people. Server populations are horrible now and I can't imagine how bad they will get when the 3 games I listed hit the market. Still had a very hard time even on Harbinger which is is the top 3 populated servers. All you end up with is a more populated server where people dont do flashpoints. WoodChipper
I found it faster and a bit easier just to level up past those flashpoints then do them lol Yeah or maybe everyone could get one (1) friend to play with you on this game. Seriously there is so much whining about not being able to do flashpoints it is getting annoying. If you cant find one (1) friend to play with you on this game then I guess you are SOL. vandana_
Group Finder is coming but we need server merges as well. I forced myself to play outside of our raiding hours to level my forgotten bounty hunter alt only to discover there is no one to do heroic missions with and no one to do low level dungeons with. 20 people in fleet of which 15 were lvl 50. (Lord Calypho EU which supposedly is not the worst populated - still nowhere near it should be) . Yes it was 1AM but cmon, 20 people? Also a bit off-topic. There is absolutely no incentive to do HM FP for a lvl 50. Introduce some commendations rewards other then columi and tionese for doing them. Senatsu
We are all struggling to get flashpoint groups. BioWare have had years of material and content from other games to get suggestions from in this regard. No matter how smart you are you know that a global LFG channel is the least BioWare could have put in, even now almost 6 months in, we still don't have such a channel. I bet it would take a developer/designer (whatever) an hour to make a global chat channel and then do a quick restart on the servers. BioWare is killing their own game by leaving out such mindlessly simple and painfully obvious things.
-Pi-
Healer LFG Red Reaper, that's the only thing I type on my chat channels .... since March .... I have 4 lvl near 50, just leveling 4 more 'cos its the only way to play the game.... poor low level Flashpoints, they could remove them completely... Not having a Global Chat has killed group content..... If we had one I could be questing on another planet or an alt and be able to see when someone wanted to get a group together to do one... It's probably the biggest bone headed blunder Bioware has done by not allowing a Global Chat... The group finder there adding will be fine if your playing on the character you want to do a flashpoint on, but what happens if your on a alt but would love to do a flashpoint with your main if a group becomes available... Your screwed because you need to be on your main and in the Group finder in order to do it...... Bioware just give us a global chat already.. Introduce some commendations rewards other then columi and tionese for doing them. Adding in rare Orange Armor sets that are really cool looking that are unique to Flashpoints would encourage people to do them... Heck how about adding a dye system where dyes like white, red, black, etc... would only drop in flashpoints, that would also get people to do them more then once.... Just kind of boggles the mind because a lot of this is MMO 101 and yet Bioware fights it...... Sure they give us armor matching system but were still stuck with the way THEY want us to look regarding the color scheme.... Why does Bioware fight this so much, why can't we have the freedom to create our own look..... Just add some dyes to the game.... it's so frustrating... They're not required and the rewards from NM flashpoints really aren't that much greater than you can get from regular gameplay.

SturmUndSterne
Solution: Bioware needs to make Athiss, Hammer Station, Mandos, Cademimu, Colicoid, and Red Reaper available in hard modes. People will be more inclined to run them if it helps them learn the mechanics of the FP.

corelina
Here's my routine. Day 1: I am a healer, and on a populated server, (fatman), maybe I can find a fp group. I only have 1 hour, no luck. Day 2: Same as day 1 Day 3: What's the point of logging on, I won't be able to find a group. Didn't log on. Oh well, at least diablo 3 is around the corner. Didn't renew my swtor sub. I'll come back once they implement dungeon finder tho because I still enjoy the game, when I can actually do flashpoints.
