immortal or veng or rage?

So I am a noob jugg and was wondering the best tree for leveling/solo pve. Currently (level 20) I am an immoral spec but I do find this makes for killing mobs a bit... slow. With vette maybe immortal? and with quin maybe veng? looking for some advice for solo leveling.

thanks!

I don't have much experiencing with leveling in other builds however I used a mainly immortal build to level and I didn't really have any issue. I put a couple points in Decimate (Rage Tree), Improved SA and Single Saber Mastery (Vengeance Tree) and then worked my way up the immortal tree. I think I put a couple points in Enraged Sunder first though.

I used Vette up until I got Quinn and then him up until I got Jaessa. Now I'm sure I wasn't killing things "fast" but it didn't seem too slow either and survivability was really good. Overall a pretty good experience.

Right now I'm level 43 and using a deep Vengeance build. Probably to level the rest of my way to 50. I'm burning through NPCs much faster but then again I have access to the full Vengeance build. Back to using Quinn as my companion though.

I'm sure that once you get Quinn it wouldn't be a problem to spec to a more DPS build and use him but since respec's are free every week and even between those it doesn't seem to cost too much to pay to respec just try out a few different builds as you level and pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

You've got the right idea. If you run tank spec, leveling is safe and easy, but slow, so you'll want a geared DPS companion. Weapon is the most important upgrade for DPS, so do that first. If you are a DPS, though, use Quinn or your tank companions.

Any of the specs do well in PvE, just in different ways.

Vengeance until alderan, then switch immortal. Stay immortal until 40 at which time either continue with immortal or switch to rage (level 40 is the magic number for rage, the tree sucks until then).

This is coming from someone with 3 50s, 2 of which are warriors (a jugg and sentinel).

They're all pretty slow before about L30, but probably the best during the first 2 chapters would be Vengeance spec. It's the least slow of them. But the best way to kill mobs (in my opinion) is Rage spec and Jaesa. Things die without you even realising.

I had no problems leveling with Immortal until 40. once I hit 40 I went rage and boy does it rock. Go with rage when you hit 40 and you'll feel like an unstoppable force ripping through mobs. Played sorc and merc to 50 along with my juggy and I gotta say the rage juggy definitely was the most fun once you hit the higher levels

Another newb here. Im am also playing a warrior going jugg soon and have a similar question. I know immortal is the tank spec, but how much "tank" do i give up going with vengence or rage? I would love a build that can tank in groups and have solid non laughable dps. So do the other specs give up there tankness, or am i kinda like a Everquest Hybrid pallidin or shadowknight, offtank on trash, and adds and dps when we have a tank and tank when there is none present?

Depends on your gear and level to a point.

I am full veng in my mid level 30's.

I enter flashpoints as DPS and PvP as dps. That said there are times I slap on my tank stance and use guard and don't have a problem. PvP it is just to soak up damage and keep the healer alive.

PvE I have done it if we lost the tank, or needed to off tank something. I make my own armor so always have at least blue if not purple armor so that helps a ton. But we can stance dance as needed and get the big bonus to armor. Not as good of course as a tank spec juggy, but still works

I have also run all the FP at least once as Veng spec, but in tank stance as the main tank. So far up to Caldsomething or other, I have been fine as main tank. Sure that will change but for now, fine.

I personally like the vengence spec. It's viable for dps, or tanking if you pick up the side talents that help damage reduction and increase your endurance. If you pvp a lot, veng has a lot of movement slowing and rage generating from damage talents that come in handy.

As stated above leveling as a tank is slow, safe, and you feel a little underpowered sometimes and become more dependant on your companions, which is fine and some people enjoy that. Personally I've been playing a knight or jugger since day 1, was playing Veng/Vig starting out and didn't hop on the 1.2 bandwagon. I've tried all three trees and they all have their ups and downs it just depends on YOUR playstyle and how you want to level, not someone else's. Try them out, you get a free respec each week, use it!

Thanks guys. I had this picture of a veng jugg as being a paper thin character that puts out good dps but no other uses..

How does being immortal spec fair in pvp? i would imagine the low dps as a problem gettting kills and such right??

Tho i did see a spec on a nother site that had a immortal tank spec with improved dps, i may look at that spec more indepth and see how it works..

As a tank your only role is to stop other people from taking too much damage. Doing damage of your own is only to keep your threat level up so the enemy is attacking you and not someone else. So basically, in PvP tanks do rather badly most of the time.

I've heard that some of those hybrid tanks do quite well. I don't see them getting anywhere near close to DPS damage levels, but it would definitely put them far above a normal tank.
