Perfectcircle
So I was watching an operative healer stream yesterday that had 1850 cunning. He gave up some expertise to get it that high but still had 1100 expertise (which seems like plenty) In order to achieve this he used +12 endurance/+18Cunning aug. on each peice of his modified war hero gear. Do you think this to be the best option over crit/surge/power? Please give detailed reasoning as to which is better. Thanks!
Nehmin
If he's at the DR point of surge/crit (around 300) then yes. Your main stats are linear (cunning/power), there is no DR, so stacking them has no punishment.
Aetou
It depends on how your secondary stats are, frankly. I use mine to plug holes while in the transition to WH gear but once all my secondary stats are where I need them I'll be stacking Cunning. Azaranth
By the time you have full battlemasters, you're probably at the point where cunning is the valuable stat point-for-point.
Perfectcircle
By the time you have full battlemasters, you're probably at the point where cunning is the valuable stat point-for-point. Okay so that pretty much confirms what this streamer was saying. He said that by the time you have full warhero gear, you're not lacking any surge, crit, or power and that cunning is your best bet from there on out. Thanks guys. Jarwan
That's what I've went with. Only I have a full BM gear and working my way through to WH. I have however got 3 crafted BM gear with Cunning augments and the other 2 pieces are actually Columi with BM mods. The reason I went for this road is with 2 PvE pieces, I'll get my 15% crit chance added to an already 16% chance (element of surprise = skill tree) to SF and BB. This way I end up with 31% crit to my big openers and I have to admit, I have rarely missed a crit from these 2 skills.
Stenrik
From what I understand though, Cunning DOES have diminishing returns, since it contributes to crit and such, which do. ...right?
GHoppa
Cunning doesn't, but the amount of crit chance it adds to your crit chance total is affected by DR. I think it takes somewhere around 170(?) cunning to be given an extra 1% crit chance (at around 1600 cun), and the more cunning you have, the more it takes due to DR. Power actually adds slightly more to healing compared to cunning on a point to point ratio, so if you feel you have enough crit chance and heal, it might be wiser to go with power. Reality is, in a real world type scenario (eg not theorycrafting for every last .01%, and taking into account actual combat mechanics and being affect by cc etc), power = cunning and cunning = power, or close enough to it to not make much of a difference.
