the ability to train your companion's to be jedi's like in swtor 2

In KOTOR2 the Jedi Council didn't exists so there was nothing stopping you from training Jedi. In TOR the Jedi Council is very active, keeping up its policy of taking children from their families and teaching them to be dysfunctional members of society. I'm sure they would be extremely displeased at you training new Jedi.

All in all it sounds like an awesome opportunity for a story. :-)

I don't know that this fits in with this game as much. You do get a padawan as both a Jedi Knight and Consular. And SPOILER ALERT, you get companions as Inquisitor and Warrior too that are dark-jedi.

The making companions Jedi in KOTOR 2 was part of the storyline, there were barely any Jedi left after the sith hunted them down, so you were training force sensatives into Jedi so the whole religion wouldn't die. All your companions in the canon story became "The Lost Jedi" who re-formed the Jedi Council after the plot of the game. Although, personally, I can't picture Atton Rand on the Jedi council. Mira, Bao-Dur, Visas, Mical and Brianna all fit "the mold" but Atton just seems too hotheaded to be on the council.

Plus, if you could train all your companions to be Jedi, people who rolled Smugger, Trooper, Agent and BH would qq because they had no Jedi and Force Users could convert to 5 Jedi companions.

This is quite wrong. Even if they aren't technically padawan, they do have some kind of apprentice.Mako for BH, Temple for IA, Corso for smuggler. The only one without a real apprentice is the trooper.

According to the game you are the best. It's logical you teach brilliant people, for any reasons (for good or evil).

I was disappointed by the relationship with the padawan, with my consular. There is ONLY one character I know of you can turn DS/LS. I did expect a lot of involvement with your padawan/acolyte, teaching him/her plenty of stuff, and learn a lot to. Also, the forbidden romance for Jedi would have been an interesting dilemma. Or even turn them DS or LS. A lots of meaningful choices. For example, having a romance with your padawan could get you unable to reach jedi master rank, or the padawan could get closer to DS... I don't know, but there was plenty of interesting stuff to do here.

Also, did anyone else noticed the padawan/acolyte are all women (romance able) in the game ? That's not really fair for women character.

SWTOR 2 is already out? Where can I buy it?

hehhe, you beat me to it!

Honestly though on topic

I do wish EAoware had gone deeper into companions then they did.

Id love to be able to influence my companions by my choices

Id love for there to be full grown quest lines you go off and search and explore (think of getting the family armor in ME1 for the Krogan) instead of just standing there talking all the time.

Id love to be able to pick and choose my team myself rather then having preselected companions waiting for me.

Id love to be able to use 2 companions at once in conversations (really the best option would be in conversations all your companions are present) so you might gain influence with one but you lose with another.

There is so much more EAoware could have done with the companion system but seems to have left it as basic and undeveloped as possible in TOR.

Still like companions, dont get me wrong.

Just when you look at whole picture, the current companion system is kinda like having a ice cream cone but with no ice cream.

Then you wouldn't be training them to be Jedi.

I would much rather get the ability to use a Legacy character as a companion. Although, I feel like it would be difficult to actually accomplish that, it would be a nice Legacy bonus.
