Biofailware hits again... New Patch "fixes" - tell them what's wrong

Ok, new patch.

+1 bug

Missing matrix cube. Of course, they say we should avoid changing area 'till the problem is solved (that is... not play?). Of course, they seem not to have noticed that people said "my cube was gone when i logged in". Logging in is "changing area" it seems.

-1 fix

Don't know about other patch notes but Devs, the Custom crafted gear is STILL not available for RE. Nope, it's not.

For all those self entitled specialists out there saying that there's no software without bugs... let me give you a hint: There's QA. So yes, although it might be possible to create a new bug once a new version is implemented, that should be a rare event. The development team (and even more, the testing team - in case they have such a department) is doing a piss poor job period.

This is not the first time it happened and i'm afraid it won't be the last so spare me the inconsequential *** kissing attitude that you so highly value and do some research about software development. There's bugs and there's testing. SWTOR developers seem to have forgotten about the testing.

Also, for all the other self appointed "specialists" - instructing us in a fatherly manner that the test environment is not the same as the live environment - NEWSFLASH to you, they have the PTS and even more, they have the responsibility to make the gosh darn test environment as close as possible to the Live one since this is a ****in' MMO.

On another note: About 3 years ago i thought that Blizzard had the worst Customer Service possible but Biofailware far surpasses them... And no, things like "we recommend you to avoid changing ****in' areas" is not acceptable - that is essentially telling us to ****in' stop playing a game we ****in' pay you to ****in' test and develop. ****in' period.

Stop throwing untested code on the live servers you undergraduate noobs.

P.S. Of course this is meant to be a constructive thing. So on a TLDR note:

- missing cubes

- orange gear is not RE

- once again you include things into the patch notes that... erm... are ****in' WRONG

- once again you ****in' BREAK stuff that was working

- once again you show your noobishness on managing such a complex piece of (******) software your MMO is...

- get a ****in' REAL testing team, not some high school kids or whatever, some ****in' REAL testers doing their ****in' job on da ****in' PTR or whatever server you wish to test on.

- if you're to ****in' cheap to hire some competent people at least let us ****in' test it for you (although wadda ya know, we ****in' pay you to do it!). Let us transfer characters on the PTR for ****'s sake...

They'll probably lock this thread. Tons of threads have been locked in the last hour alone. They can't take the heat.

I agree with you, though. They just don't care.

How the f*ck do you keep screwing sh*t up Bioware? You are quite possibly the worst company I've ever seen at "patching" things. Unbelievable. For once, I'd like a patch that doesn't cause more downtime later in the week to fix some screw up you caused.

I 100% Agree with the OP here. Bugs happen, but the frequency in which Bioware has them is beyond average. It's sad that I think there have been more new bugs formed from patches than fixed.

I just logged into my crafter and every Orange I crafted overnight (while logged out) was able to be RE'D without any mods in them.

I am sure Bioware is working on the immediate issues. The best you can do is let them know in a constructive manner.

most of the times i am, but when i pay someone for a service and they screw it up without giving me a "we're working on it, it should be solved before tomorrow morning" kind of response then... well, let's say that the least i can do is to let some of the steam off for those money they cash in monthly... don't you agree?

as for the disgusting part... i'm more disgusted of people's hypocrisy, of people forgetting that when they pay for something they should expect something in return (and not behave like slaves), of people talking about "community" without mentioning that the community itself is most of the times driven by the state of the product (at least in the case of an mmo) a poor community - a poor product.

Now that you got that out of your system, just take a deep breath and ask yourself, "In the grand scheme of things, is this really a big deal?" You sound like you live your life with a lot of stress.

I would re-read the terms of service so you understand exactly what you're paying them for. Sounds to me like you'd be surprised.

OR... we could just tell them they suck and they suck hard and just constantly fail because they are a bunch of idiots who have no *********** idea what the **** they're doing. Since the second part is actually correct - why not just say it? Time for being poliute is srsly over, I'd be polite if the at least *********** tried to do a better job but NOOOOO, they keep producing the same exact ****ed up **** every damn time. It can't be that hard to patch things right, in Rift there wasn't even 1/100 of the downtimes like here but they were still able to produce quality patches with more content and no bugs or some very minor ones you didn't even notice that were fixed like ****in 2 hours later.

ROAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Sorry, there is so much anger here. I'm honked about it too though. It's painful to log in after every patch to see what does and doesn't work. I know that there will always be bugs to fix but introducing new ones while fixing old ones is very frustrating. Seriously though, stop swearing like a kid who just learned their first curse words, I don't think that it helps the cause.

No, I'm pretty sure that these people were like this before this game was ever released.
