How less human species can work as playable.

I'd assume that due to Bioware's intention to put romances in every story, all races aside from twi'leks are pretty much human in appearance aside from few differences. Despite Bioware failing to put in many appealing romanceable companions. (I'd throw Kira out of the first airlock if it where possible)

Either way, I do believe that more exotic races are very much wanted as playable. It's simply madness to have a bounty hunter class and no Rhodian or Trandoshan races playable for that class, to give one example.

Not even mentioning some of the barely known races that are playable in favor of far more popular races.

But here is my solution for the romance issue: give more exotic races an NPC of their race to romance.

This would mean a bit of unique dialogue and content for each of those races, and if the romance goes well the NPC could move to the player's ship and remain there, traveling along but unavailable for crafting or traveling as a companion. The standard romances could be locked or different for less human races.

Customisation should also not be an issue for such races, they dont have to all look alike.

Kel Dor could have seperate options for goggles and breathmask, just like Miraluka have a veil option. And of course options for different facial shapes, skin colors, complexions, scars and such.

Nautolans could get various decorations for their headtails, and tattoos.

and so forth.

I'd really like the current races to be improved as well with more hair options, more veil options for miraluka and giving cyborgs some unique complexions that look robotic and proper beard options, decent hairstyles for zabrak, etc.

And maybe a way to customise your appearance to a limited degree in game. Just hairstyles, scars and tattoos would be great. thats stuff that realisticly could be changed.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I don't get why they're so against the idea of relationships with non human in appearance aliens in the first place though. They let femShep get it on with Garrus in Mass Effect and he's just as alien in appearance as the Trandoshans and Wookiees in the Star Wars universe.

You mean species.

This is a poor proposal to fix the problem. It still fails to address romances that occur outside of your class story, which would add an even greater workload

Just let the developers work this one out. They're already committed to the task they already have plans, and we'll see less-human species as patches and expansions over the next few years..

Hello Everybody!

We appreciate your interest in talking about making less human species playable but in the interest of consolidating conversations we are going to close this thread as there is already an active thread about it here. We suggest continuing your discussion there.

Thank you!
