Lacerate :

If you compare force cost vs damage that ability is crap.

Idea ;

same force cost , damage increased greatly , 5 sec cooldown

Also for tanking ;

Add "Lacerate" into "Electrify" talent

 

Dark Ward :

Assassins need high APM for tanking :) Make it little bit "relax"

 

Increase cooldown and charge of Dark Ward

30 sec cd / 30 sec duration

25 charges

It takes some getting use to to keep Dark Ward up but after a while it becomes second nature. Lacerate could be buffed or have a reduced force cost but it does come in handy in certain situations.

With all the QQ going on about us, I doubt we'll be getting any sort of buff any time soon unfortunately.

 

But I do agree, lacerate is one of the most useless abilities in the game.

Lacerate is good enough as it is for AoE situations as there is no limit to the amount of targets it can hit.

 

As for Dark Ward, it can be a hassle but it is something to get used to.

If you compare our aoe capabilities with other classes i dont think these suggestions will be called a "buff".

"fix" imo.

Also adding little bit much more threat ( add lacerate into Electrify talent) for lacerate will also help for AOE tanking.

Just think, how many abilities you are using during strong/elite mob tanking. so changing Dark Ward a bit is must imo.

Lacerate needs some love. For Madness and Deception, our aoe is very limited compared to other classes. Perhaps a lower gcd (one second?), or a heightened chance to proc a saber charge would be beneficial to both deception and madness ability synergy. Madness has Death Field, but it only hits 3 people so the added saber charge procs would actually fit in nicely without being too aoe heavy (seeing as almost every other class has mentionable aoe). Deception has almost no aoe besides this ability, so having it proc more saber charges would also be an obvious benefit.

 

Imo, it's an ability that has a lot of potential. Ideally, a one second gdc with a 30% higher chance to proc a saber charge. It gives us something to do between waiting for wither/death field, and it gives deception a button worth pressing. Imagine having to lacerate twice to get 5 stacks of static charges, then unleashing it on something. Or imagine it as a madness assassin... oh the aoe funnies that can happen with this +raze procs + death field.

Dark ward is off the GCD, so its not a critical issue. You can keep it up 100% of the time easily enough.

 

Lacerate loving is a bit trickier. Darkness AoE is already very much awesome. Directed AoE makes for very nice threat and you have the tools to position the mobs together and away from CCed target. Discharge also becomes an AoE.

 

So it would be for deception mainly, and they do have a skill lowering the cost.

 

Imo, there is a reason they removed the spamming ability Marauder could have on sweeping slash.

 

I'd actually would like to see basic cost go up, damage go up and deception cost reduction also increase.

 

Alternatively, keep cost as it is and add a small CD for more damage. I do agree its rather useless as it is, other than PvE weak trash dispatching and cap prevention in PvP.
