pvp battleground medals

I know this may come across as a silly question to some, but i'll ask anyway. what is the break down on when medals are awarded in pvp battlegrounds? do you get them for guarding a area, taking ojectives or just killing other players. It would be nice to know how this new systems works. So far i have been on a few teams that lost badly this week and because of this i didn't gain any valor , xp points or credits. considering the long wait to get into a battleground i feel 1.2 had failed greatly with the new rules of battlegrounds. I hope in the future the devs will take in account not to punish players when members of their own teams, leave in the middle of matches and just perform poorly, these things make it harder for good players to gain the rewards due to them.

devs have got it into their head this patch to punish the hell out of people who lose, no more of this 'at least you tried' business.

 

as far as how you earn badges, it's different for each warzone

 

for civil war: stand on a node and kill as many possible people as you can

for voidstar: you only get points for planting bombs

for huttball: kill the ball carrier and pass the ball... scoring earns you nothing

for the new crappy warzone: sit on a base and never leave it no matter how badly your team is doing elsewhere or you will be last place

I believe you also get a medal in Voidstar for defusing a bomb. Also you are awarded medals for winning quickly. I've gotten 6 medals in huttball just from winning 6-0 quickly.

The point is the point scoring system is S T U P I D

 

In at least half the warzones it awards you for doing things that are counterproductive to winning
