Some Quick Legacy Companion Questions

I haven't bothered to get any of my companions to 10,000 before legacy (it didn't seem worth the expense before), but now...I'm looking at all of these locked slots and as I read the description I'm wondering:

 

1. In the initial paragraph it says something like: "Grants a bonus to your (Healing Received, or Accuracy). Is this going to be applied to all of my characters in the legacy?

 

2. Following that, in the initial paragraph it says it increases your Heroic Moment by 12 seconds. Does that stack? (I.E. if I unlock all 5 of my companions for that char, is that a 1-minute extension on my Heroic Moment?)

 

3. At the end of the first paragraph of the description it says "You may receive this bonus for only one (Melee Tank, Ranged Healer, etc...) companion. ??? How many healer companions do they think my Jedi has? Or does that mean that "yes, these abilities do apply across all of my characters on the server, but there is no point in upping both my SITH melee warrior companion AND the JEDI warrior companion because I'll only get the benefit of one..."

 

4. Finally, it says "Grants a +10 Presence bonus to all characters. Does that stack for ALL companions for ALL characters (eventually resulting in a + 400 Presence for all characters on a server)?

1. I assume so, Yes

2. Stack, no. Only the +10 Presence stacks. "You may only receive this bonus once..."

3. All 8 (4Pub/4imp) classes have each type of companion. You will get the main bonus for the first one you finish the companion missions for.

4. Yes, stacks for a total of +400. You also get another +100 for unlocking Human (since Humans can be any class already)

Necessarily you don't have to get 10k affection to unlock it. Just finish their conversations, which end around 9.4k~ roughly. Some may be a bit earlier. Just thought I would mention this, even tho its not a huge difference. It still saves a couple of gifts. :/

Slight correction:

 

2) The Heroic moment increase in duration (and cooldown reduction) *does* stack across different types of companion for a 1 minute increase in total for having 1 companion of each type complete.

 

Also if you want to grind the affection for the later companions I would recommend taking them with you to grind dailies, rather than gifts, Imperial toons can make ~1k affection a day with the late game companions just on Belsavis, I presume Republic players can manage similar values. Just bring out the companion you want to like you and speak the way they want to hear with the questgiver, then swap back to your combat companion of choice.

Yes all the characters on that server.

For each companion type, for a maximum of 5 times. So you can decrease the cool down to 15 Minutes from 20, and increase the duration two 2 minutes, up from one.

 

So if you maxed out only healing companions, you'd only get the bonus once.

 

For example I have two healing, one Melee DPS, and one Ranged DPS companions. I only get the increase in duration, and decrease in cool down 3 times out of the maximum of 5 because I maxed out 3 types.

 

And yes I can confirm on the cool down, it does decrease for each type. My cool down went from 20 to 17. I don't know about the duration increase, there seems to be a display error in the tool tip that isn't adding the duration increase to it. I haven't tried to time it myself.

It means between all your characters and their companions on that server.

Yes it does stack. So with 8 characters on a server, and 5 companions each that is a +400 Presence. Even with diminishing returns that is a significant buff to your companions DPS and healing.
