Nychanter Posted April 17, 2012 Share Posted April 17, 2012 Wow - 1.2 sucks. For everyone complaining about people with low gear - get used to it. **** happens. If you win they get closer to better gear. PVP is a team event yet all you ever see is no-one directing anything and people doing either what they want or what everyone else is doing. Why is there a War Zone leader? Its not being used at all. Simple fact is unbalanced groups are ruining it for everyone - both geared and ungeared - tactics later on when everyone has gear but RIGHT NOW its the unbalanced groups. I have a geared toon but want to play another one and cannot even get into enough winning groups to do the daily every two days - let alone win enough matches everyday. (I work full-time so don;t sit here 24 hours a day) We need (very quickly) some kind of expertise balance introduced when forming groups - I'd happily wait longer on my main toon to stand a chance to win by being grouped with people with resilience - sorry expertise (lol). The under-geared groups also need to be matched against under-geared groups to stand a chance - the current pvp frustration will kill what is otherwise turnign out to be a good game. I am complaining about the fact that fully geared teams are allowed to farm people trying to get the gear (and getting nowhere) Glad I aint grouped with your very good and clearly elite self. You are probably playing on one of the more "preferred" classes which continue to ruin PvP for everyone by simply gaining from unbalanced stats. Bioware is obviously bad with numbers. The effort and skill of a player is so far behind of many technical aspects of the game that sadly unrelevant comments like these are not constructive in any way, nor true. Changing minimum medal requirements from 3 to 1 will change ****! It is yet again another time winner for the so called "Developers". The amount of time you have to invest in this game is fairly irrelevant. I have a career and a life outside of swtor (crazy i know, how do i find the time). Whats more important is how you use the time you have. Be efficient with you time. You've probably played enough matches to know who the good players on ur side are. add them to your friends list. invite them to group with you. get on vent with them(though chat works too but im laz..er efficient lol). coordinate your efforts. if you have time to run a single warzone, then u have time to do this. running with other players you can depend on makes all the difference. you have now increased your rate of accumulating warzone comms. Leave the solo queueing to those who are undergeared or are simply messing around looking for a build that works for them. Heck, I have spent the blowouts working on taking down whatever class I feel like 1v1 against. It's not hard to get the 45 commendations and 5-8 medals in a blowout. If the WarZones are balanced (to a certain extent) from 1-49 why is it so unbalanced at 50? (I work full-time so don;t sit here 24 hours a day) Not ruining it for me and I don't have great gear on either of my toons. Recruit on one and Champion on the other. I have a full time job as well and don't have issues completing the daily. See where I'm going? Sounds like your server lacks quality players in your faction. Second, ranked warzones will make regular warzones better for you. Idea is that the skilled and geared players will start doing ranked games and people like you and under geared players will have better success. WookieePower Posted April 17, 2012 Share Posted April 17, 2012 PUG's are what they are, well over half the time people don't listen to others in PUG's, so it's either don't queue solo or go in with attitude of just getting enough medals to make it worthwhile, win or lose. The Ops leader is a novelty in the majority of PUG's, they might have a decent plan, but again over half the time players in PUG's are only out for themselves. I have ran with some great PUG groups, but most of the time it's a free for all. Above everything else, why did we not get combat logs until now? I don't even believe BW did hold combat logs looking at PvP right now. - Valor ranking is useless. It could be used for so much more. - Server Population... merge servers, open character transfers or quit doing mmo's. - Medals... is it really so hard to multiply the number of medals with a base number of wzc's and and a simple bonus when u win without having unbalanced teams? - Gear... greedy, unpatient kids playing mmo is the motto these days. It ruined nearly every mmo lately. Make it harder to get gear in a fair rewarding system! The game already has end-game issues from day 1. - Excessive CC, knockbacks and impossible 1v1 duels! If they want to re-invent the wheel and suck up all numeric data to balance the game, BW lost already. The ppl that will earn money already know their game and what they want! The game is going down the toilet fast! I even regret inviting people and dragging into this mess. I give it one maybe two months until it all comes down crushing completely.
