Darth_Solrac
Yet again, a very seemingly OP boss my Sorc is having an irritating amount of trouble on. He blew through Khem & Talos. Ashara fared the best, but with that lil hover bot making em able to attack both of us......well I've spent all night & bout 50,000 credits on item repair & Command stims so far tryna beat this dude. WTH? What am I doing wrong? Edited April 17, 2012 by Darth_Solrac add word
xdvesper
I've only fought him once and killed him on first try so my memory might be a bit hazy. But I'm pretty sure what I did was use Ashara since I was levelling her affection... and the usual method I use for harder-than-usual boss fights was shield Ashara and myself, send her in, do some light DPS myself until Ashara is at 60% hp, then pop all my cooldowns and go to town on the boss. I will pull aggro, at this point I just kite the boss around the room with Force Speed, Overload, Force Slow, Force Lightning, etc while keeping Affliction on it. I just hold aggro running around while Ashara is free to DPS and eventually the boss dies and I'm still at nearly full hp.
CedricDur
The amount of people who have had trouble with these speedbumps is . Are you kitting him or standing there tanking him? If you have Talos geared and have Speed Force, Speed Slow, your four second stun, your bubbles, then you should not be having problem. Are you interrupting his long casts? Interrupt the first, stun him the second time while the interrupt is still recharging, knock him back, etc. But you seriously must have your healer geared. DPS companions are good too, but less safe. If need be fork some cash and buy implants/earpiece and always keep their gear up. Unfortunately just like the previous poster I cam not remember whom that particular boss was to offer better advice. Darth_Solrac
Killed em last night, rather easily. Dunno, didn't change anything when I did. Had Ashara tank & bubbled/healed her. So I shall blame it on teh lag.
SodiumSpike
Ok I have been smacking my head against this fun destroying brick wall for two days now, followed all the seemingly great advice on these forums but still no luck. I cannot Kite the Gormak with my Sith Assasin (level 46), no matter what I do (including the threat generating effects) he just ignores me and kills my companion (I have tried all of them multiple times). Nothing i do causes him to pay me the slightest bit of attention while a companion is alive and he just pounds on them until they die then turns on me. Interupts and buffs etc do little except slow the inevitable down a little. Given the poorly thought out placement of res point and the inability to res inside the dungeon, my last two days has consised of resurecting outside the temple, repairing damaged equipment (purchase new heals and stims if they have been burnt through), run back through temple, the whole bloody temple, kill or sneak past the same 20 monsters, come to Gormack and die within 20 to 40 seconds. Rinse and repeat with various other tactics, same result. I don't mind a challenging boss in a game where things have been getting gradually tougher but this game consists of ten levels of simple stuff where you only get defeated if you don't pay attention then a stupidly OP boss who comes out of nowhere and makes no sense given the previous difficulty curve. SodiumSpike
OK so this gets weirder. gave up with these impossible quests Ithis one and the visions storyquest) and went to grind a few levels on Belsavis (hoping thta maybe a higher level would at least let me get a few attacks in before death). Only to discover that while my level 46 Assasin cannot even get close to succeeding in these level 43 quests on Voss, she can breeze through the level 50 stuff on belsavis without breaking a sweat.
