Hi i 50ed a sentinel and all i need are some advices to do better pvp:

 

in Nightamre Lands.. 18/20 wzs we're in 4 agaisnt 8 and they farm us... even if i assit someone i get at least 2from 2 to 5 medals, dont have any guard.. can't get defence pts because they control everything... so im chaindying 30 times until the wz is finished and get 0 comm.... in 3 weeks i get 4 BM pieces when i ahvethe luck that imps are sleeping...

 

 

i dont think the problem is l2p cause im always near thefirst as dps :|

 

help plz im not whining just asking for advices

i agree, this new system is terible for those who lose. they wanted to combat afk pvp'ers and what they did was hurt those with no gear and on the losing team. i've finished wz that lasted 15min and gotten 0 coms on an alt that just couldnt get any medals while the other team is dominating, it's a very sad sad day and the 1.2 system for coms needs to be reverted to the 1.1.5 version where you only need 4 medals and you still get stuff for losing as well as 80 coms if it lasts 15min... the new medals dont help you at all as you ONLY get points for killing someone or controling an objective (ie the winning team). and if you cant heal or guard, you cant get 8 medals while losing, you just cant get them, you have no way at all to get them and simply will not get them, this counts for full bm toons too as even if they get 500k dmg and 50 kills they will only have 6-7 medals if they lose... it's the stupidest system ever... really glad new games are coming out as any game that doesnt cater to the players deserves to fail.

PvP for republic sucks at the moment on Nightmare Lands. We were outnumbered by imperials before and now 1.2 has bought back their best pvpers, and our worst. there is no reward from staying in a losing warzone so thats why everyone is leaving games so the team is constantly outnumbered.

edited: the problem is there'some people still palying with 500 exp when with 300k u can buy a 800+ exp gear...

i would rather group with people with 300 less expertise but know how to play the game, than those who have expertise and no idea how to use it.

Many of the defender objective medals can be obtained while virtually AFK. For voidstar, stick near the doors you're defending - even if you can't kill the enemies, you will gradually gain defender points (very easy to get 3+ medals if you do this, but unfortunately for melee classes, you'll likely be moving out of range for defender medal credit at the doors). For Novare Coast, you will get 1 attacker medal if you contribute to capping a turret console (there's 1), and if you stay near the controlled console, you will gain 500 defender points every 20-30 seconds (very easy to get 5 defender medals for a long match, so you can easily get 6 medals without so much as attacking a single enemy - if your group can't manage to win, just have them all sit at the one that you control so they get medals). Civil War is virtually identical to Novare Coast when it comes to defender medals, but usually only the first person that activated the capture will get an attacker medal. If you cannot win here, use the same tactic as Novare Coast and have your entire team withdraw to the controlled turret to gain medals. Hutt-ball is where the objective medals can be difficult to obtain if your team is getting rolled, but I'll suggest that you have your team grab the ball and pass it around (without any intention of ever scoring if you know you're going to lose - each completed pass will net you 500 attacker points, and it is very easy to get 5 attacker medals just by passing constantly).

I admit the idea of mixed teams hadn't occurred to me, but I love it! Might be a little rocky at first as people have to work together with their former rivals, but it's not much more unsettling than fighting your friends in Huttball.

Make sure you have at least the recruit gear, it really does make a difference. If your team is short handed, use your defensive cooldowns as often as possible to defend doors, defend nodes, kill the ball handler, etc. It's different for every warzone honestly, sentinels can do a fair amount by themselves to get objective points; though some warzones are just bad luck.

If they want everyone in Recruit gear they should supply it. I was working on the break down between gears. When you compare the stat difference between the basic set of Recruit gear to the BM gear there is a pretty big difference in just stats then you compound it witht eh screw job they did to Expertise to even widen the difference in the gap.

 

The ops melee set:

No with the uncalled for changes to the Cent gears and putting Defense on the sets for so really absurb unknown reason, other then to force people to buy thier stupid Recruit gear. It semi forces people to purchase the recruit gear which does nto kepe them alive any longer then going in to PVP with orange gears.

 

Bioware should not have touched the modifiers on the Expertise with all of the changes that they were throwing out at one time.

If that were the case, if you aren't at least a hybrid healer, you're useless due to how OP healing would be, and WZ deaths would be infrequent - resulting in a boring, bland game.

Look how certain classes are blowing people up in a few Globals. The Expertise modifiers have ampified Buffs that certain classes have gotten. I am pretty sure the Operative nerfs put into place were to stop Ops from ganking people in a few globals so why was it made to allow others to do it? Over all this entire patch has been a major issue and should not have been put onto a live server. The removing of the Defense rating that was added to healing gears is a perfect example of how to really screw things up. Because of flip flopping things around some of us have lost Mods and enhancements from our gear that was mass changed by Bioware with out have a pre notification they were going to just start changign **** on a whim. They have failed super hard with 99% of patch 1.2 there is no question about that.

This is the mindset that has fresh 50's going into warzones getting completely hulk smashed. The expertise alone makes the recruit gear a necessity if you want to stay alive long enough to contribute to your team. Yes the stats are mostly bad but the gear adds a significant increase over having limited or no expertise.
