Cross Account Legacy option

I would like to see the option to have 2 or more accounts linked through the Legacy tree. My wife has her own account and I would like to be able to add her in my tree but alas it seems I can not at this time. You could link accounts if they are paid for by the same credit card, or allow an add on fee to allow up to 2 links. This would allow also for the Rival option to be fully utilized as you could actually link to a "Rival"

Please let me know what you think of this.

While this would be an interesting feature I have to ask are you after just the Family Tree Feature or the entire Legacy System? I can understand a request for the Family Tree allowing you to add other accounts, but the entire Legacy System being linked to multiple accounts could have a big flaw. What's to stop an entire guild from linking their legacies together and unlocking everything for all members at once? I can guarentee you my guild would jump all over this if every member could unlock the entire package in one quick stroke. A feature like this would definitely need some type of restrictions on how many links you could make.

I think that's a great concern and it should be limited to family accounts.

I am completely against linking actual legacy levels or points. Every account has to earn their take.

For instance, I started playing in what, February? I will put a lot of time into this. 2 years from now, my wife joins me, and we combine legacy. She now has all the privileges of my 2 years of hard work without lifting a finger. By then, every race unlocked, every class unlocked, every companion, etc, etc....

I have no issues with me getting these perks. However, any other account has to earn it, just like I did.

It's the plus side of being a part of a certain family. If my father was Jordan, then I would have the bonus of working with one of the best basketball athletes of all time, which is something that is restricted to his family just like his money. I hear you on the "earn" thing, but family is family. You earn that right by being family, and that's the purpose of a "family" perk, or "legacy" perk. Edited by Quales

So you're saying that even if I told them okay, they would still be violating the privacy agreement even after I gave them the green light to do so?
Generally, yes. There's no way for them to know it's really you. As such, this sort of information must remain separate.

Unless they do an account wide Legacy System, I will sadly miss out on the cross faction advantages.

I had originally created 8 Imperial characters, and as explained below, ended up creating 8 Republic characters on another server at the CSR "request".

Note that all of these characters were created before the Legacy was even introduced, so there was no way to foresee the issue that arose from the implementation of the Legacy System.

Why 8 of each faction (all Imperial/all Republic) on the different servers. Well I started with all imperial, then with a Codex problem on loading I was told to go to another server for a while, a couple of times, and decided to see the Republic story arcs and the different choices involved. ( There is nothing like a DS Assassin, Juggernaut, Sniper, and LS Sorcerer, Operative, Marauder, and Republic Counterparts :) ).
