Gazzaho
As I said, great event some more like it will do quite nicely please. Now the criticism, some warning beforehand would be nice, an in game announcement like when the servers come down for maintainance would be good. I had logged off and shut down my desktop and was reading the forums on my iPad before I knew it was happening. I guess it looks like it will be around for a while but if something new comes along an in game announcement would let players know it's happening. cp_signal
I actually agree, a heads up that "something" is going down today would of been nice. I tried to be productive and not game all day so what that got me !
Kaphik
So the announcements on the fleet that you can hear everywhere aren't enough for you?
Gazzaho
So the announcements on the fleet that you can hear everywhere aren't enough for you? Fleet? If your on a planet doing missions, then how do you hear announcements on the fleet? As I said I didn't hear anything until I read it on the forums. There is a huge clickable monitor at the space port on Tatooine that has a news reel, kinda cool.

In the Dune Sea you have to go to an area that you are not sent to at all during your level specific questing, and if you are doing the Tattoine bonus series you have to attack yellow flagged mobs, which is still a choice. Bigbozo
Welcome to Imp.News for 10 April 2012. In tonight's headlines: A ship carring the highly contageous rakghoul plague will crash on Tatooine five days from now. Allthough we know this, we will do nothing to stop it, or prevent the spread of the plague across the planet.

JonathanCP
Strongly disagree. The element of suprise was a great + for this event. It's not as if it's going to be there only one day...
Parthis
They should simple use the in-game announcement system to push out an APB when an event starts so everyone sees it, regardless of which planet they're on. As for the "i'm logged off!" argument; it's a persistent world, from time to time you will miss things. Introducing a little randomness to the galaxy is important tbh. TOR feels static and safe. Regardless i'm guessing it's a multi-day event and people will see it. Edited April 16, 2012 by Parthis
RowanThursday
Love the idea, I do wish the announcements on the space station were a little less intrusively loud though.

I had no toons on Tatooine I was on Alderan playing my imperial agent, that's my point! If there's a system wide message then wherever you are when it starts at least you know an event is going to happen. You can go to your ship and travel there or ignore it, but at least you're informed it's happening. People who spend most time on the fleet are level 50 waiting for FPs or WZs I would imagine, I don't have a 50 yet so I'm still levelling, I haven't been near the fleet in at least 4 or 5 days real time, I've had no reason to go. Jhayden
i disagree. you do that, and it takes the element of suprise away. it be one thing if it was only for a day, but this event seems to be ongoing for a few days.
Jhayden
Love the idea, I do wish the announcements on the space station were a little less intrusively loud though. Well it does make perfect sense that is there is a plague in the galaxy that it is overly broadcast-ed.
Gokkus
They could have added the message to every spaceport, not just the fleet, since it pretty much involves anyone planning on traveling. Apart from that, the surprise part is a good thing. They could also have given all players a holocall or something during the day. That would be more obvious but nice for the solo players. Corros
I agree, but maybe a second day notice would suffice. The fun of it for me was checking out my daily swtor sites and i caught wind of the event and was like what?!?!?!?! I HAVE TO LOG IN!!!!! It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if we knew ahead of time that it was coming. Thank you Bioware for the awesome event you have created! keep it going and keep the secrets/exploration alive!
