Demortenes
1.2 Seer / TK build For the record... I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to movie editing, competitive gaming, or female stimulation. With that out of the way, I posted this to give hope... and maybe even a guide... to Sages and Sorcs who feel they got the hose in 1.2. The build: 21 / 20 / 0 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600GhMRMdMzZf0drbMr.1 The spec focuses on control. I will give my fellow Seers/Sorcs the benefit of presumed intelligence, so I won't go over every talent point. The tools given to us by the TK tree (Force Wave root, bubble explode, tk effusion, Concentration, Blockout) assure that a single melee (Marauder, for instance...) won't be able to pressure you as well as he could. As an added benefit, providing you heal VERY offensively, your force pool will almost never deplete unless the battle starts getting too out of hand. When it does, however, Noble Sac + disturbance can go a long way. You are in the game to keep your teammates alive. Sometimes that means assisting targets. Do your best to keep weaken mind up on 1 to 2 targets, and wait for the Pyschic Projection proc. Assist as necessary (or use it for the high possibility of gaining an Effusion proc) The last fun tool, Blockout (Mind Snap +2 second lockout. -15 sec CD on Force Life), makes life easy against healers and casting dps. Use that $h*$ as often as you can. That being said... Enjoy. (watch in HD!)
KekoSplit
I'm also 21/20/0, Sorc. Found it by far the best spec for leveling and occasional PVP. I dinged 50 on Saturday morning. 5 minutes later I went from 0 expertise to 924(!), by buying 4 BM pieces, rest ALL recruit. My orange gear with blue/purple mods all vendored. First warzone was terrible, got trained by 2-3 melee all the time with no support from (very bad) teammates. Thought that Sorcs were terrible at 50. But 2nd and 3rd game - both wins with me having 0 and 1 deaths and MOST MEDALS of all players, 15 and 13. And dinged 50 only minutes ago... Had a teammate(not a premade) healing me when in trouble. That's the big difference between good and bad teams. Usually have around 150k damage and 200k healing. Those numbers are not big by any means. But both my Willpower and Endurance are under 1200. Yes, it's mostly just running around casting instant heals and shielding/cleansing(which also heals a bit) me and allies. When not under pressure stand still and try to proc instant Chain Lightning. Kyhren
I’ve been toying with the idea of trying this lightning subspec. Currently I’m using 21/2/18 and so far it’s working out pretty well – usually I break even on healing and damage ~250k dmg – 250k healing (on Voidstar u can easily break 300k on both) however I do run with a Rage Jugger and a Sniper who are quite good a peels which buys me time. I feel the lightning subspec is more CC and generally being an annoyance, whereas the 21/2/18 is more of an “offensive healer”. Demortenes
Good to hear Kiko... although I didn't grab the chain lightning. I am pretty decked out in that video at 1610ish willpower and 1k expertise, 300ish in crit/surge about 250 alacrity. Definitely most of your healing is through instants and Trance/Innervate. I find Sages/Sorcs to be more damage preventers/sustainers rather than simply pushing red bars... and I like it that way.
Skienz
Gave this a try today and it was nice. Lots of survivability. Usually got around 10 medals. I found that if I started off dps and switched to heal after everybody got preoccupied I could stay below the radar pretty well. Had a run of 8 wins in a row while puging, probably not related but it felt good.
