1.2

Seer / TK build

For the record... I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to movie editing, competitive gaming, or female stimulation.

With that out of the way, I posted this to give hope... and maybe even a guide... to Sages and Sorcs who feel they got the hose in 1.2.

The build:

21 / 20 / 0

The spec focuses on control. I will give my fellow Seers/Sorcs the benefit of presumed intelligence, so I won't go over every talent point. The tools given to us by the TK tree (Force Wave root, bubble explode, tk effusion, Concentration, Blockout) assure that a single melee (Marauder, for instance...) won't be able to pressure you as well as he could.

As an added benefit, providing you heal VERY offensively, your force pool will almost never deplete unless the battle starts getting too out of hand. When it does, however, Noble Sac + disturbance can go a long way.

You are in the game to keep your teammates alive. Sometimes that means assisting targets. Do your best to keep weaken mind up on 1 to 2 targets, and wait for the Pyschic Projection proc. Assist as necessary (or use it for the high possibility of gaining an Effusion proc)

The last fun tool, Blockout (Mind Snap +2 second lockout. -15 sec CD on Force Life), makes life easy against healers and casting dps. Use that $h*$ as often as you can.

That being said... Enjoy.

Glad to see more and more are starting to catch onto this build.

Some of us have been using it since before 1.2 was announced.

This spec is all about keeping people off of objectives, yourself, and your team mates.

I used a very similar spec as a last attempt at enjoying my sorcerer. Here's what I've been playing post 1.2:

I did this with the hope of eliminating Consumption from my rotation as reliance on force regen. I then went into the lightning tree for increased force regen. I also looked to the AoE CC from the lightning tree as a replacement for the lack of an AoE heal.

Long story short, my sorc which was my main, and the class I have beta tested and played since last summer -- is now retired.

The spec is good for Huttball but will be lacking elsewhere. Heals are inadequate and cannot put out Operative numbers. The base issue of getting easily interrupted with long inductions/channels is still there. One good thing is being able to get a small burst of speed on casting bubble, and be able to go from one door in voidstar to another more quickly for example.

Survivability is abysmal and if your name is recognizable, you will rack up more deaths than the other two healer classes -- and do so VERY quickly.

I find survival to be far from abysmal (at least in 1.2 terms where everyone is getting blown up).

Sure, if I get focused I die, I just have tools to help prevent getting focused. And true, the heals are not as strong as a full spec... (and no Reviv / Salv... but that's not a big loss) but the % healing boost gain doesn't compare to the survivability you gain ^^
