Ancard Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 So you were able to tank 3 dps before 1.2 and you didn't think that was a problem for game balance? If he was I can tell you it wasn't for long and he definitely wasn't able to heal anyone else. If you're going to refute this it will make it obvious to me you have never played a level 50 healer nor understand the balance they bring to the game. If you really think healers were too strong before the patch go play World of Warcraft and you will think they are gods. The interesting thing in World of Warcraft is that with the great amount of utilities available to a healer the DPS classes we're still able to shut them down through proper use of CC, stuns and interrupts. Most DPS in this game are clueless. The good ones had no problem with us before the patch so if you did you can consider yourself one of the clueless. Healing was a challenge but still fun before the patch but now it's no longer enjoyable and that is a problem for a business model that relies on subscriptions for recurring revenue.

If you want, I'll post you the parsing result of the damage taken by my rank 56 heal merc during a pug vs premade match... it's laughable to see the second biggest part of the damage taken was the base assault of a rank 8x sentinel attacking solo.
Tyfonen Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 It means exactly this. If you are top of the food chain, your healers have no problem to contribute to the premade. They are the most valuable team asset on huttball, voidstar, and novare. We are one of the best teams on the server, because we play and train for hours. If other healers have trouble in pvp, it is non because of game mechanics, it is because they dont train enough. If you dont have the time to train 4 hours a day, you do not deserve the win against premades like ours U sure am arrogant that´s for sure. But not too bright considering your reasoning. Bet u don´t have enough good oponents. Because there´s nothing u can do either way if u have an intelligent well played dps team up against u as a healer now. Before they used people to interupt your heals and keep u out of play alot that way. Now u simply die and that´s it.. and so does everyone else. It´s simply an neverending dying/spawing/running back now, unless you totaly outclass the other team. Then yeah u can get the idea everything is fine if u´r not to smart. Then again with your lvl of arrogance it´s not suprising.
Khoraji Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 My server has more healers now. OPS dps got nerfed again, so they are all healers now or at least hybrid. Merc healing is fine (I am a merc healer, we still put up good numbers and are very tanky) Sorc healing...not sure. Havent seen too many of them around.
SmugGnat Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I've been playing a Merc Healer since day one, and it was very obvious that pre 1.2 heals were unbalanced. I play on a PvP server and am well know on both sides, needless to say I am always targeted. Go ahead and ask anyone on the server how hard I was to kill pre 1.2. Then go ask them how hard I am to kill now. 99% of them will tell you, it's just as hard. Yes damage got buffed, yes healing got nerfed. Play to the game, there are many other tactics at your disposal besides straight out trying to out heal the damage. Adapt to the changes. My playstyle definitely needed to be adjusted to deal with the changes. I heal just as much if not more then pre 1.2 still. Yea I die a few more times then I used to but it's far from an easy feat. If i die they deserved the kill. Play the game instead of ************ 24/7 and you might get better. (To those complaining)
Gigabolt Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 seriosuly guys though seriously you telling me these games with like2-4 healers with 1 million damage and harldy any deaths was fun? when healers stacked it just became a farce, if you cant appreciate that well then there can be no reasoning with you. has the pendulum swung too far? well that is a question but in my mind there is no doubt pre 1.2 healing was out of control
