Operative healing needs to be looked at

Right now, an Operative healer is about normal maybe even slightly weaker than other on a flat, open map but they're godlike in a map that involves mobility (Huttball). This is because almost all the heals from an Operative are instant. I've had games in Huttball where we interrupted every heal from an Operative (Kolto Injection, all 3 of them) and still never came close to killing anyone because there are just so many ways to hide in that map while the instant HoTs do their work. On the other hand if you're in a flat map like Voidstar you might as well just ignore the Op and DPS down whoever you want for the exact same reason (you still can't stop their healing, but now there's nowhere to hide so their healing thoroughput isn't enough).

The optimal way to deal with a healer shouldn't be to ignore him (even though this works). A healer should not suffer practically no decrease in capability while having every interruptible heal interrupted. There needs to be a compromise between relatively useless on flat terrain to godlike on tricky terrain.

Almost agree.

They're not overpowered, as you say yourself they're unable to do anything without time.

Whereas, at the same time, sorc is even more inefficient (best healing skill remaining the bubble, by far) and merc finishes last.

I should try a full warzone only using my blasters to heal, just to see the final number... I guess it wouldn't be that far from full-time playing at 150+ hitpoints a tick with absolutely no mana cost.

haha

1.2 healers got punched in the gut. And you want to nerf operative/scoundrel healing?

Good luck in PVP buddy when no one wants to heal. The state of the game is terrible in PVP for healers.

Op heals are not instant. Only kolto probe and surgical probe (has a pre-req) are instant and they are small heals. Kolto injection is the big heal and it has an activation time. If anything makes them OP it is their ridiculous amount of utility...stun, sleep, invis and they also get orbital strike.

Even though we do have a lot of utility moves I feel that they are necessary. We do not have a knockback, most of the time when healing we can't use sleep dart, and the invisibility is used just as an OSHT button. Those that play operatives know that we are squishy if say a marauder or an assassin comes out of nowhere and pounds on us. Being a healing operative on a server that is fairly active in pvp, I will say that when it comes to our utility moves it's all about timing and situations. My two cents.
