Thank you for getting me to completely waste my time getting a trooper to 50, just so you could neuter him completely. So much for just the 10% damage reduction on Grav Round, eh? Enjoy the sun or explain yourself contructive. When you get this enraged about a nerf/buff, you should adjust the amount of care you put into. Because it should be way less. Nerf and buffs are always happening in MMO's. If you did not play before 1.2 and and 1.2 you have no idea of the overall affect. I consider my main which is a trooper commando gunny to be a new AC created as of 1.2. He is my banker mule and daily runner. Unless they reverse themselves....and I have never seen developers do that before......I will never PLAY him again. He is dead to me. As for assault, if I wanted to be a dot spec I would go back and play a WOW warlock or an imp sorcerer. WoW did this all the time to characters I loved. The cause is PVP mixed in a PVE environment. Basperios Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 Yeah I was considering Assault Spec prior to 1.2 as it seemed to have the capability to make big numbers pop up over baddies heads. (I *really* like that btw...) But I wanted to give Bioware the benefit of the doubt and ride out Gunnery and see how it worked out post 1.2. So far... its not working out so well... I like the fact that you are more inclined to use other abilities besides Grav Round the new proc rate on CoF is awesome. But combine the dps changes, the durability changes and the damage formulae changes and well... Bioware took it a bit too far I think. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It truly is a shame what they've done to combat medics...... The healing output just isn't competitive enough with other heal specs now.... Phiggasaurus Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 For the life of me, I cannot figure out why the **** they felt it necessary to nerf Combat medic AND Gunnery -- the two specs I was going back and forth with. I'm not a DoT fan, so Assault doesn't appeal to me. I tire of seeing the, "Things change. Adapt." posts, but it's true and this is the way of all MMO's... and my adaptation will be to hang up my Commander's boots and find another class to play. A few adaptations to the nerfed skills that would cause them to function differently in pvp vs pve would've been much better, but alas... Still love ya, but thumbs down on this one, BW. CSilvaros Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 its not so much about the 10% in my opinion, if it were just that then id sigh, nod, accept and move on. but they increased the time, and doubled the ammo consumption as well for grav round, hitting that move three ways in one patch seemed a bit excessive to me personally. i can understand people complaining about the move being OP'd but to lack any real buffs to other moves in compensation, especially from a PvP side of looking at things. but everyone develops their tricks, like gripping said trooper and dropping them off a bridge, people have been adapting their rolls against those moves since MMORPGS started, so the trooper players will adapt...i just wish they hadn't not hit that ability so hard. also...its easy to spam grav round in a PVE setting to take out those tedious bonus missions. id suggest altering the grav rounds capabilities when one enters and exits PVP flagging Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
